"Receptionists were both great and the location is excellent to exploring the main streets of Galway. There's noise at night from the pub across the street but we noticed they supplied ear plugs! It's also right across the street from a "Galway Girl" sculpture/bench. Also, take note it is a pedestrian street so you have to walk a short distance from any car park or taxi drop off. Generally, it was clean though the interior white walls seemed dirty or in need of painting in our room....

"The Hydro Hotel was a perfect location for the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival. The Saturday night club/disco catered to the younger crowd and they carried on until the wee hours. The restaurant at the hotel did not disappoint. The breakfast was amazing. The dinner menu had something for everyone including gluten free options. It was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again."
"Easy parking, nice rooms, the restaurant on premise is great, the breakfast was fantastic, the only downside is no refrigerator in the hotel room, so if you're there for a long stay and want to keep snacks cold you won't be able to. The access to Dromoland's walkways was a real highlight and it's a great location for getting to the towns and villages around the area. We will definitely be staying here again, very happily!"
"We were extremely happy with our stay at the Skeffington Arms. The receptionist welcomed us warmly and graciously, answered our questions, showed us where things were on a map, and suggested restaurants and shops.

"The automatic check in machine wasn't working so it didn't print out room cards . I couldn't get into my room . When I phoned the help line I was told that someone would be there in 15 mins . 45 mins later someone did arrive . The problem was sorted but again later that night I couldn't get into my room 🙃. I had to check in again to get another room card. The help line was not answered when I called .
However the room itself was nice , clean and comfortable. The location in town...
"Extremely noisy ADA wheelchair access room that was an "upgrade". Door needs to be sound proofed. Miserable experience each night when neighbors returned home drunk and continuing to party. Navigating overpacked lobby/coffee bar filled with strange characters is not ideal for coming and going, possibly consider a hotel only entrance."
