"It was a very windy day which exposed the lack of insulation and how the cold air got in.
The room was freezing, the heating cam on but for too short a time the room was already freezing and did not warm up. I had an air fan and an oil radiator on but the amount of cold air getting in did not mean the room could ever get cosy.
Which is a shame as the views were lovely and the bed was comfortable.
The shower was not very good it kept spitting very hot water that was too hot and temperature...
"Very friendly staff. Had some issues communicating with the hotel via email and Expedia messages, but were able to quickly resolve issues by phone and in person. Beautiful old hotel with modern features in the heart of Aberdovey."
"The room [room 10, double en suite] was nothing like the pictures. First you had to lean on the door to get in cos it's too big for the frame. "Our room was clean but very basic and small. The bathroom has been recently updated and everything works great, including plenty of hot water.
The parking is especially spacious for Wales!
Restaurant food is typical pub food, tasty, generous portions and served piping hot.
Friendly staff.
Nothing fancy here, but good value for the money."
"Reception staff were lovely, the room was spotlessly clean single room perfect for my needs, free wifi plenty of power sockets and lights, one of the nicest beds I have ever slept in!
Lovely cooked Welsh breakfast plus plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal choices
Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again"

It is also very convenient for the amazing beach, the wonderful castle & the bustling little town & shops. Our room was clean, quiet & a good size, with a lovely view of the castle. I had the best sleep I've had for a while. The staff were helpful & friendly & gave us good tips about the local area. Also, just...
