Nest Paris-Londres
10/10 Excellent
"Price Performer in central location. Easy walking distance to La Moneda, museums, Central Market, Metro, & Bus routes. Runs like a short-term rental, not a hotel; there’s no front desk or agent on site. Complicated check-in had me worried at first, but it went off without a hitch. First, you pay VAT (as a rental, the property is not eligible for the tourist exemption, but why the tax isn’t just included in the Expedia rate is unclear). After that’s done, they send a message explaining that you’ll be asked to check in 48 hours before arrival. At that point, you provide the needed details including photo of passport. As soon as that’s done, they send code for keypads that open street door and room. I had questions about this process, and management replied immediately in excellent English. The exterior of the property is a restored historic building on a quiet side street, but the interior is a stark white charmless gut renovation. The room was a large studio apartment with kitchen, dining table, and couch. The furnishings are in good condition but cheap and literally from IKEA. Everything was scrupulously clean. Restaurants nearby and coffee shop one door down. Highly recommend for location, generous room size, and cleanliness, but there’s no on site staff for hotel services like travel advice, luggage storage, laundry, or trouble shooting."
