"FALSE ADVERTISING – NO POOL
We booked this property specifically because the Expedia listing states in multiple places that it has an outdoor pool. This was extremely important to us because my husband has back problems and swimming is part of the physical therapy he needs while traveling.
When we arrived, there was no staff on site and we had difficulty getting in because we were not given adequate check-in instructions. We searched the property for the pool and finally contacted them through...
"The property description is highly inaccurate. There is no buffet breakfast, no pool bar, no beach bar, no beach restaurant, no fitness center. The pool closes every day from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. That is prime swimming time for my family. The place is old and run-down. The positives include a beach front property (30 minutes from Messina train station), beautiful sunsets, espresso and gelato bars, and an pretty seafood restaurant."
"This place was the best part of our trip. The host was on site and very helpful with everything we needed. Our room was front and center to look out over the Mediterranean Sea. It was so nice to take time out to relax. We had a few meals in the attached restaurant and they were made by the host who was also the Chef. A man of many hats and talents. This hotel is the shining star on the beach. It was a bit challenging getting to the Hotel as one has to cross under the train tracks through a...
Cosa potevamo fare? Abbiamo percorso in macchina circa 1350 km e quindi ci...
"Location is fabulous with all of the main historical attractions within minutes walk. B& B is very clean as was my room. Lovely common area with sea view. Bed and pillows were pretty good but they definitely need to replace or flip mattress from body indents. Bathroom large with all you need. Very happy to have a kettle and note if there are no tea cups in your room, there is a large cupboard beside the common room that has small cups you can use. My only issue is the very strong smell of...
