Top Monterey Hotel Reviews
The Monterey Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I had an amazing stay. The building itself was beautiful with high ceilings and friendly staff. There are plenty of places to eat close by and the hotel is not too far from Cannery Row. There is only street parking available but I had not problem finding parking nearby for overnight. If you like staying in hotels with charm and history I would highly recommend this location."
Mariposa Inn & Suites
8/10 Good
"Bed and towels smelled fresh. Room was clean but not as airy and open as it looked in the pictures when we booked it. There was a chaise lounge that for some reason was on a raised floor. I think it made the room look and feel smaller. TV was so old that you couldn't stream any apps. Channels were limited. Had to ask for a paper copy of the channel list because the channel guide on the TV was empty. Breakfast was ok if you just want a quick bite. Breakfast room was very clean and well stocked. The building definitely needs an upgrade especially the elevators and the stairs area. Kind of dark and narrow. Room was soundproof. Didn't hear anyone or anything except for one customer who had a really loud muffler. Cleaning staff was friendly. Front desk staff was ok."
