"Unfortunately there had been a storm and the hotel was without a restaurant or bar, and in recovery mode. However, the receptionist was very helpful. The hotel itself is a stunner."
"Fantastic stay for 2 nights in late September. Location is a challenging drive up a mountain, mixed signage. Great staff, lovely room and outstanding view on a clear sunny day. One challenge - breakfast is provided, dinner is not available....we did ask for a cheese platter one evening (the only option) but it was not made for us, not sure why - so we had to drive 15 mins into town in the dark. Overall a fantastic stay but be warned it is not a hotel, it is a quinta (farm) that does not...
"Fantastic location with room and terrace overlooking the Douro. Very pleasant quiet room with comfortable beds. All very clean and run efficiently. Very good wine tour included.
Breakfast was adequate but not quite the standard we would have expected from a hotel of this calibre."
"Très belle accueil chaleureux. De bons conseils de restauration et visites. Petit déjeuner très bon et complet. Merci encore à la réception. Nous recommandons."
"Beautiful little boutique hotel in the heart of the Douro Valley. You are essentially staying at a vineyard! They have a lovely pool for relaxing. The rooms are quaint and spacious, and the facility itself has a lot of character. Breakfast was scrumptious with a lot of variety. Highly recommend!
My only feedback to the hotel is to ensure staff offer the complementary wine bottle upon check-in as we had to ask a couple of times for this & received it at the end of our stay…. otherwise, no issues...
"Les installations sont tout simplement idéales. Site enchanteur, vu magnifique et ambiance reposante. On se sent littéralement en vacances dans un grand hôtel. Bravo!!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel spa resort.
One small suggestion: please consider providing room darkening curtains.
Thank you so much and highly recommend!"
"Words are hard to describe how wonderful this gem of a place is! The hosts make you feel like family and the people we met made it one of the best memories I have experienced 💛"
