"The property is old with worn, stained carpet, dingy, torn towels and lumpy beds. Staff was kind and helpful and restaurant is decent. They definitely need to update."
"This hotel does not have an elevator but the staff were more than willing to carry our bags upstairs for us. The restaurant was very busy with locals as well as travellers. The food was very good. It is also across the street from Tesco if you need to pick up anything."
"Great place to stay in Wick, literally a home away from home. Bread, butter, milk and biscuits was a pleasant surprise on arrival. Every amenity you could expect. The apartment was warm, comfortable; the shower piping hot and the wifi signal strong. Plenty of parking space and a short walk to bars and restaurants. Communication excellent and responsive throughout. Highly recommended."
"Our stay was great. We were delayed into town due to a canceled flight but Callum was there when we arrived and promptly showed us to our room. Our room was clean and sufficient for our needs. The area is good for walking around Wick. We didn’t have a chance to have a drink in the bar as it was closed the two evenings we were there. I would recommend and we plan to return again "
"Excellent cottage. Well furnished and equipped. Remote yet a good base for exploring the area. Car recommend.
Only issue was with the communication. Booked through hotels.com and awaited instructions for check-in which didn't come. Tried to contact host using messaging service provided but got no response. Tried calling hotels.com for help who couldn't resolve the issue. Ended up at cottage late at night with no way inside.
Turns out the details were sent from Sykes cottages...so if booking...
"Hi views were amazing
But the house was a mess , no locks on doors , clutter everywhere
No safety measures in
Place or fire exits marked
No milk in room
The blind in bedroom was falling apart The breakfast she forgot my tea and the hash browns were raw
Needs updating and proper organisation
It could be spectacular! Shame"
"A fantastic find! An idyllic treat in stunning scenery. It's so quiet!
Andrea, the host, was lovely and introduced me to her property with such pride that I felt right at home.
Bed was incredibly comfortable and the hot tub was a huge treat!"
