"No WiFi despite advertising it in the description. Technically, they provide a WiFi signal, but it disconnected constantly (it was at one bar of strength) and unusable. The room itself was clean and well-organized. I did like that overall, but I strongly dislike advertising amenities that don't exist, or are provided at a bare-minimum, unusable level. A dedicated router needs to be nearby, or one in each cabin. I was in cottage #1."

"We stayed in the Gothus apartment. Beautiful location right on the water. The town's attractions/stores are easily walkable. Appreciated the welcome basket that included a couple of adult beverages. There were 4 in our group so two stayed in the bedroom, and two slept on the pullout sofa. I mention this because by reading the online descriptions I wasn't sure what the set up would be when we got there. "The outside of the building looks terrible. Abandonbed. I thought my husband was joking when he said that was it. But the inside was completely redone and surprisingly modern and clean. Communication was terrible, but thank goodness the couple who cleans was there and they were a huge help, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get our access code. "

It also served as a great location for exploring the peninsula. "The house was very clean and well appointed. The location was perfect for our midpoint stop traveling the peninsula. The remote location was also perfect for Northern lights viewing yet 5 minutes from the small town of Arnarstapi."

"No staff onsite. To check-in we were given a phone # to call for lobby and room key code access. No one answered the phone. Local Icelander helped because there was another hotel with same owner in the next town and she called them to help us with access code. Others had the same problem. One couple had to sleep in their car because they couldn’t get their access code via phone instructions either. "
