"Not much good to say about it…. It was clean and there is a cafe attached…. And the shower was excellent. Conveniently located once you know what to look for. However if you are there early enough to get one of the ten front row parking spots you have to park in the back 40. Mattress felt more like a box spring than a mattress and there was a mechanical whirring inside the walls most of the night. Wouldn’t stay there again unless there was no other option."
"Very nice country lodge overlooking Loch Ness. Rooms had everything we needed, Quiet and well maintained. It was a good location to drive to several spots. Would definitely stay here again."
"The bunk room was very clean and spacious and the kitchen excellent, although could not find cutlery. Bring esr plugs incase, like me, you end up sharing with a snorer."
"Confusing checkin. Building was covered with scaffolding so we could not find it. Directions to get into the building were confusing and took going through numerous emails to finally figure things out. Two other guests were equally confused so it wasn't just us. Window in the bathroom would not close or open. Parking was a nightmare as "ignoring the no overnight parking" sign is difficult advice to follow for rule following Canadians!"
"First off, this is not a hotel, it's lots of apartments.
There are no onsite Highland Club restaurants, room service food or anything like it.
The apartments are full on, proper homes with kitchens so bring some food, even if it's just basic stuff. For food shopping and eateries you can walk into the town in a few minutes and get something to eat. The pub (The Lock Inn) was pretty good. There is a restaurant in the grounds of the house which provided food which was edible but you wouldn't...
"The property was in excellent condition and the host was very helpful when we needed him. Thanks for letting us to stay in your home and letting us explore the beautiful highlands."
"High March is absolutely outstanding! The location is breathtaking, the room is beautifully designed with incredible attention to every detail, the host is warm and welcoming, and the breakfast is exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."
"The room was cosy and comfortable, and the made-to-order breakfast was excellent. There was also plenty of parking, which was very convenient. Our only suggestion for the owner would be to send the check-in information, including instructions for accessing the room, a day in advance via Expedia message or email. As international travellers, we had very limited mobile data signal when we arrived and had a little difficulty getting in touch with the owner for check-in. Once we were checked in,...
"A perfect base for exploring Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Fort Augustus, Inverness and Glencoe. Ideal for families travelling with children.
I travelled with my two young children and we were very happy with our stay. The location is excellent, and both check-in and check-out were quick, easy and completely hassle-free. Everything was very well organised. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. We...
