"Room we got was tiny and run down. The bathroom could hardly fit a shower, trailer seat and a sink which were merely in to of each other. Additionally, the humidity has affected the bathroom. Overall the hotel does not deserve the start rating it has. Parking was not available even that we tried to book in advance as advised and the reception staff who checked us in was not very helpful. Thankfully the lady was much more inventative and helpful. This is not my first trip to Plovdiv but...
"Ubicación céntrica.Gran desayuno......No debería adjuntar parking disponible porque es en la calle según disponibilidad aunque el recepcionista nos indicó amablemente donde se podía aparcar sin pagar"
"Here’s a Hotels.com-style review with a slightly more detailed, balanced tone:
Disappointing stay with major comfort and service issues
Our stay started off on a concerning note, as we were asked at check-in to leave a positive review in exchange for free sauna access. We were required to post the review immediately—before even receiving our room key—which felt misleading and unprofessional.
The room itself was visually nice, and the beds were comfortable. However, the air conditioning did...
"A pleasant hotel in Plovdiv. A solid 3*. We were given a suite on the first floor. The room was very large, with a good bed. Clean sheets and towels. A good shower. Pleasant staff. Our car was parked in a small lot in front of the hotel. The hotel is not new, but in good condition. We had mobile internet, so we didn't use the hotel Wi-Fi."
"10 out of 10 on all counts - the room, staff, amenities, and location were all excellent. Right on a park and a short walk to the old part of town. The staff were all super helpful and nice. And breakfast was delicious!"
"Clean, quiet, comfortable hotel next to a leafy park. Good location for exploring the city.
Room was small but well organized. Shower was good but no way not to get the whole bathroom wet.
Included Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Most of the staff was helpful and friendly. We got good recommendations for dinner."
"Superb! We stayed on route back to Czech from Turkey and so pleased we booked here. The rooms are wonderful with good beds and pillows (a must for my wife) and great restaurant and
breakfast. The service was equally as good with all the staff helpful and particularly Daniel and Milan in the restaurant who genuinely made us feel welcome and relaxed after 9 hours of travelling. Thank you and highly recommended!"
"The room was fine and overall the stay was pleasant. However, the parking situation was very misleading. We booked with “included parking,” only to find out upon arrival that this meant street parking, subject to availability. There were no spaces, so we had to drive around the neighborhood late at night searching for parking. Very frustrating, especially after a long journey. The parking policy should be made much clearer when booking."
"My wife and I spent just two days in Plovdiv in late June, and were very pleased we chose the Hotel Evmolpia. Victoria was very helpful and friendly at check-in, and we were delighted with our large room. The hotel is in an excellent location in the Old Town, and very quiet. The breakfast was satisfying, and we enjoyed the generous cheese and wine on offer in the evening. All in all: highly recommended."
