"Very clean and cozy little cabin in a cluster of cabins near the university. We only slept there one night, but there seemed to be cooking utensils for a simple meal. There were no instructions for the heating and cooling units, but we figured out one heater which was fine for the whole cottage."
"A bathroom safety handler is in urgent need near the bath! There is nothing to hold on when getting out of the bath. My wife fell and had a big cut in her back, luckily no bone was broken"
"Great location with parking outside our window and a parking garage, although there was a site parking fee $15 a day it did come with discount coupons. We were able to walk everywhere from this location but there is a trolley stop at the hotel as well.
Loved the king suite, spacious with the living room area and couch that makes into 2 twin beds. The only room for improvement is a more comfortable mattress, but unfortunately that is most hotels. Will definitely stay here again, quiet, clean,...
"The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Only booked to stay 1 night as we were passing through. They had a bus load of college volleyball players arrive right after we did. The hotel was very quiet. No issues."
"Front desk not friendly. Stayed here many times because we like location and breakfast at the Gem. But probably the last time. Stayed on 2nd floor and couldn’t sleep because of person above our room on the 3rd floor was so loud, thought they were coming through the ceiling."
"This was an extremely odd place to stay for several reasons. The pictures and the exceptional rating were very misleading. The free “breakfast” was do it yourself with an open jug of orange juice and sour milk. What bothered us especially was the fact that we could not lock our door from the inside. It was accessed by a passcode that probably remained the same for who knows how long and the deadbolt to the outside door had been previously busted in. Strange place."
"This historic house is beautifully maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. We had the attic room which is extra large and has an amazing spa shower. The proprietors took great care to prepare a wonderful breakfast each morning. Loved our stay at 1899!"
"It was a great place! Neighborhood was quiet and cute, close to everything. The house provided everything we needed for a week away for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. It allowed us to enjoy the craziness of Sturgis but gave us time to unwind away from the party. Will stay here again for sure!"
"The apartment was a finished basement with a tax office upstairs. Very quiet. Nice and cool downstairs. Beds were pretty comfy fresh baked brownies were waiting on us apon or arrival. So we're travel size soaps, shampoos, toothbrush and deodorant. The washer and dryer were a nice feature as well as the garage. Extremely happy and would stay again"
"Unique basement apartment, very clean and nicely furnished. Place was a great location for our family to base out of for trips to Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Theodore Roosevelt NP and a drive through Spearfish Canyon. As a owner of a couple of Chevy C10 Custom Deluxes, really got a kick out of the Custom Deluxe GM Frigidaire Stove!"
