"We were visiting for a couple days. We arrived by bus and the Mill St stop is only ~2-3 blocks to the hotel. The train station is farther but also walkable. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms, which was very nice. I'm not sure what is the difference from other rooms. The restaurants were good and the pub is also good. I enjoyed the live music in the pub on Thursday night. There are many restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance."
"The room was fine and the setting peaceful, but the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows super flat. Also no cold water in the shower??? The breakfast was good."
"Nice family run hotel in great downtown location in Westport, walking distance from shops, pubs and restaurants. Great breakfast and nice bar too. Service in the. At wasn’t great though and the place needs better attention to detail in maintenance and tool management. Our bathroom sink was blocked and the table and chairs in the bedroom was blocking the clothes cupboard. Other little things didn’t show a great commitment to quality that would make me reconsider staying again."

"Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....
"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo.
The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here.
We will definately return to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, that is for sure!
