"We had a such a special one night stay here. Perfect location on the seafront but a nice distance from the hustle and bustle. Absolutely beautiful room with lots of space. The bed was fantastic size and the chairs overlooking the front were a special touch.
The staff were so polite and accommodating.
The breakfast was top notch - excellent selection and hot food was beautifully cooked.
We had the best stay - perfect for a couple’s romantic getaway."

"We arrived to find the room we had booked on the first floor had been trashed the night before and the only available room was on the second floor . The problem for us was my husband is recovering from hospital so the extra stairs didn't help. That said the staff were amazing and did all they could to help us and although it was a smaller room it was lovely. We had several meals in the hotel which were very good and would recommend The White Lion Royal."

"Staff were amazing. Rooms we had do need an upgrade. Parking was an issue, ended up parking curb-side as we were out the door before 8am each day.
Good bar, Pool table, great location on the sea front, and the kids enjoyed the pool although was cold water."

"Beautiful hotel with an incredible tiered outdoor terrace facing the lake. A great place to watch the sunset, have a pint, and listen to the sounds of the steam engines hard at work."

"Stayed 1 night with my husband and 6 year old daughter.
Lovely clean hotel
Poilte staff
Nothing is too much for them.
I asked for an iron and hairdryer, within minutes it was at my door!!!
Nice touch with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits.
Very close to all local amenities
Shame they were fully booked or I would have stayed another night."
