Imagine you open the front door, and there it is, a large room extending across the whole width of the building. On the left is the dining room with space for eight. On the right is the living room. In addition, you have three bedrooms, all with their own facilities. 1 is downstairs (1/2 bath), & 2 (full bath) are upstairs. The internet is excellent, and you have a huge TV to enjoy. Outside this oasis are sports, parks, restaurants, drama, concerts, and museums, all within walking distance. Located on a corner, the apartment is on the 2d & 3d floors. The living room and dining room windows are on two of four walls, with views looking out over the north side. Every bedroom has two windows. Light is everywhere, yet you are high enough to be in your private world. Full kitchen with lots of workspace. All the appliances work. The apartment has been recently refinished and upgraded. All bedrooms have window air conditioners and a queen-sized bed with comfortable mattresses. You share a free laundry room with the Airbnb apartment downstairs. We want to provide a comfortable, spacious place for you and your guests. The apartment is located on the 2 and 3 floors. You go up one floor to get to the living room, dining room, one bedroom, and kitchen. Up another floor to the two upstairs bedrooms and baths. Each floor is two sets of flights with handrails available on all steps. We have two co-hosts and one host, me. One of the co-hosts lives on-site in his apartment. The second co-host lives across the street. You will be greeted and then left alone. Both are available for problems and questions. Yin House A bit of her history and let me begin with her name. Yin House in the mirror reflection of her neighbor 421. Whoever built the two houses used one blueprint. They built one, flipped the blueprint, and built the second. Across the street is the former James Street Tavern which has been everything to GAR (Grand Army of the Republic), a civil war veterans’ association, center of labor groups, speakeasy, and Jazz Club. The house across the street was built in 1890. Yin House and her brother Yang House were built in 1900 and extensively upgraded in 1995. Street parking is free with a virtual parking pass (I'll take care of the details). You can spend lots of time here and never need your car. We are close to downtown but outside of its hustle. Any part of Pittsburgh is rarely more than a twenty-minute drive. We are close to PNC and the former Acrisure Stadium. Downtown, the National Aviary, The Mattress Factory, The Children's Museum, and The Andy Warhol Museum are all within walking distance. We can issue you a free parking pass which lets you park near the apartment. Many of our guests park their car for the whole visit. Deutschtown has the energy of several people coming together. You will see tats, hair in many hues, heavy influence of Black culture, and business people in suits. You can enjoy this gift or just shut the door and enjoy the quiet of your apartment. If you are uncomfortable with an urban neighborhood, this is not the place for you.
