"Absolutely loved the place. Everyone was over the top helpful & kind, ensuring that we had a great experience. The only thing that threw us was a $100. Fee per person that was explained to us as facility fees for the pool & beach. We were fine with the fee but later we were told that the pool was for children only. We were not happy about that as there were days when we would have preferred hanging at the pool rather than the beach. We dealt with the situation but it was a pretty expensive fee...
"Beautiful 4 person room, great for a family with a lot of space. The building and architecture has a ton of character, and the location is great in Catania. Staff is very attentive and friendly, they helped me carry my bags up the 2 flights of stairs to the suites. The espresso was a nice touch. Bathroom is detached from the room itself, everything was clean. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Catania!"
"In a word, Sergio, the host made the trip to Catania special. He was available to map out things to see and do, as well as calling a cab which is a challenge for this non Italian speaking tourist. I learned that the hotel is a family treasure that is being restored. Our penthouse rooms were spacious, updated, and sparkling clean. The shams on the pillows were starched to perfection. Definitely a gem."

"Das Ehepaar, welches das kleine Hotel betreibt ist unheimlich süß und gehört zu den Menschen, die einfach ehrlich herzlich sind. Sie bereiten morgens das Frühstück vor, was aus Kuchen, süßem Gebäck, Brötchen, Salami, Käse, Prosciutto, Marmelade, Honig und Nutella..... besteht. Kaffee nach Wahl, sowie verschiedene Fruchtnektare und frisches regionales Obst. Wir hatten ein Seitenzimmer, welches zwar keinen Blick aufs Meer hatte, allerdings akkurat sauber war und ein modernisiertes Bad hatte....
"The receptionists were unfriendly and unkind, especially, a female staff. Only the elderly man who served us at breakfast was friendly. The French window does not open well, and the door of the toilet does not shut well. We will not recommend this hotel to my friends. As to location, we could walk to the nearest supermarket."
"They allowed me to check myself in & it was gone midnight! They knew i was travelling alone & didn't speak Italian. The 'shuttle service' from airport mentioned is not included as suggested! 120 euro each way from Catania (nearest airport) maybe good price, but shuttle service would again indicate a cheaper price and part of hotel staff (it's not)

"This is a budget oriented hotel; somewhat stylish, clean but also very simple with few amenities. The rooms are named after operas from the namesake composer, hometown boy Vincenzo Bellini. The AC worked and at first you fear the hot water will run short but turn it up and the water will heat up. The street (the San Orsola) and the entry hall look shabby and battered but the hotel is ok. I don't know why it's described as a B & B, as the live-in manager does not provide breakfast. Good for...
