"The building is quite old, with beautiful architecture and some quality antique bedroom furniture. There is no lift, but no problem! I am not the fittest person and this was noticed so my suitcase was carried up to the room - by a very polite young man called Marco who should go far in the hospitality trade. A very quiet location, even though it is only a stone's throw from Via Maqueda, one of the busiest streets in Palermo's historic centre. All in all, a great find - well done Expedia."

"Cute rooms with a private bathroom in the hallway. Easy self check-in, and ditto check out. Some might be bothered about the noise level depending on how loud other guests are - you can hear everything:) The location is great and the area felt safe."

"Slightly quirky rooms, that were super nice with fresh and well done finishes. The girl that did check-in was super friendly and helpful and made me breakfast to take to my room for the next day due to being an early check-out prior to normal breakfast times. The room was very comfortable and modern, with an arty twist. Easy enough to find and access in what felt to be a safe location. "I went to Sicily to visit Palermo, Catania, Corleone and climb up to the Etna. I wanted to book only one hotel room in Palermo. Hotel Cortese is in the downtown and you can get a feeling about "real" Palermo. A family runs a hotel and they are very very friendly even if they do not speak English. But do not worrie won't be any language problem :) I rented a car to go away after I explored Palermo. They gave me a garage which was very cheap. But do not rent big car, the big car is a suicide in...
