"The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned upon our arrival. Trash on the floor near the bed and a cup of coffee was left in the microwave. Our room keys frequently didn’t work, so that was annoying. Other than that Roberto was very kind and attentive. Location was great."

"Inspite of being in the hotel business for a long time, Howard Johnson still has a good cleanliness standard , welcoming front desk and staff and one of the lowest pricing. Aside from being so conveniently near the Newark Airport, it also has so much room for parking."

"The hotel was decent overall; however, the location was not ideal. The staff were not in uniform, which made the atmosphere feel somewhat informal and more like a gathering place than a hotel. Additionally, there was no complimentary breakfast or even coffee available for guests. While the stay was acceptable, it is not a hotel I would choose to stay at again."

"Well maintained and well run hotel. Clean, quiet, secure. Nice looking rooms and public spaces. Parking onsite available at a reasonable cost; the staff allowed me to keep the car there for several hours after checkout. Only two blocks from a NYC subway stop and then ten minutes into Manhattan. Lots of good restaurants within a few blocks. They don't currently offer breakfast but they do put coffee out in a nice lounge area."
