"⭐ 1 star — and we would give 0 if we could.
Our stay at Welcome Hotel Lambafell was extremely disappointing and, more importantly, raised serious safety concerns.
The hotel is self check-in, but staff are advertised as being available 24/7. Upon arrival, we needed a crib for our baby and repeatedly tried to contact the hotel by phone and message. Nobody responded.
Then, around midnight, the fire alarm went off and all guests were evacuated from their rooms. The alarm continued for more than...
"Guesthouse room was ok, shared bathroom was good. Location was in a small town in the middle of nowhere, Kind of like the place for truck stops. Breakfast was included but we were leaving before it was available in the morning so the host brought it to us the night before (nice!). Check-in was a bit challenging as Reception was not manned. You have to go to adjacent restaurant and ask to be checked in. The instructions tells you to contact them beforehand but the phone is never answered....
"Everyone was very welcoming and took the time to tour us around to familiarize the facility
The food in the restaurant was awesome I had the arctic char and my husband had the lamb screwers and everything was awesome
Thank you"
"Hot tub was amazing and well maintained but there were cracks in the walls in the guest house, and the shower head pointed to the wall, there was water spraying out of the hose to the shower head, and the pipes were extremely hot when you touched them, which is impossible to avoid in the small shower, juggling the shower head and bathing and shaving, as I was. However, the small kitchen, community kitchen, and other amenities were fabulous. The room was spacious for a guest house and that part...
"I had a really great stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and professional, making it a great choice for both leisure and business travel. I especially appreciated the attention to cleanliness and the quality of the service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"This was in a great location for exploring Iceland. The room was very clean and loved the kitchen area to make meals. Only downside is the shared bathroom but we had no issues! Nice to talk to other people in the house but most people were out exploring majority of the day."
"Let’s start with the positives- cute little cabin with great access to the big waterfalls, quiet, probably a fantastic location to view the northern lights, the shower didn’t leak water onto the floor, beds were comfortable, decent kitchen set up, some very nice restaurants close by, it did in fact sleep four people.
Now for the negatives- upon arrival we realized the toilet paper dispenser was locked and the paper wouldn’t dispense. There were no extra rolls of toilet paper available. I tried...
"We LOVED this place. The rooms were so comfortable. It felt like the bathroom floor was heated and there was a towel warmer. It was fun watching the cows, and the food was delicious. We saw Northern Lights while we were here too!"
"Clean and cozy accommodation! Also super cute Wes Anderson vibes and very good fish and chips at the bistro on the main floor for dinner. Breakfast is served there in the morning as well.
This is a renovated schoolhouse used as a hostel. Shared bathrooms and showers were very clean and all guests are respectful of the quiet hours. Game room in the basement had darts and a pool table. Free parking on the premise. If anything, the women's shower drains are very slow."
"Confortable mais vieillot, August, le propriétaire est très sympathique. Plaisant de discuter avec lui au petit-déjeuner.
L'accès au chalet est dangereux, sentier mal entretenu.
Je recommande quand même cet hébergement."
