"I don’t usually write reviews and was very skeptical about this hostel when I booked it since it’s so low cost (I paid USD $15 for 3 nights including taxes). I took a chance on it due to all the prior/raving reviews... so here I am writing one in case you have the same doubt! This is a relatively newly opened hostel and on my arrival, Mr Lai Lee put me in a separate room so I can have some privacy to myself. This is such a nice gesture (tho it’s low travel season in Laos), but he didn’t have...

"A very affordable option in Luang Prabang.
The Staff are very friendly & helpful. The City is easily walkable & river-side Restaurants are excellent."

"I gave this hotel 5 stars, mainly because the woman who managed the place. I booked this on hotels.com, and there are many amenities listed that do not exist. There is no bar, even though there is a menu in the room advertising beer for sale. I also saw no bikes for use, and the airport transportation was the manager arranging a taxi for you. That being said, the room was good, and the ac was nice. The breakfast was delicious. The location was great! The morning market was right out the...

"Such a lovely place to Stay. On south bank of river away from centre so super quiet. Bit of a problem until river works finish next month as no bamboo bridge. This normally makes 10 walk in to centre. At moment its 30 mins using the old bridge or a boat service that does save much time.. Great breakfast..Nice residental area."

"Chambre au calme avec balcon donnant sur la Nam Kam très agréable.
Le meilleur et le plus complet des petits-déjeuners de tout notre séjour au Laos.

"We stayed for 3 nights and on our return the first night the hotel was locked . Supposed to be 24 reception. No sign of anyone. We eventually gained access via the car park.
In the 3 days we stayed housekeeping never came to our room. Water never replaced, towels not changed.
However the worst part of staying here is the fact that it is not where it appears on the Hotels.com map but it actually around 2km further out of the centre of the old town. Had we known this we would never have booked 2...

"Zimmer hat angenehme Größe ist aber sehr hellhörig. Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern sind deutlich hörbar. Es gibt Fenster ohne Fliegengitter, keine Glasscheiben nur Holzklappläden. "

"What a fabulous place in an amazing location, just a few moments walk from the best cafes and bakeries / many temples / night market etc, yet it’s somehow so peaceful at Pha Nya. Our family room was lovely with very comfortable beds and lots of space for the 4 of us. We even looked out onto the entrance of a smaller temple and could watch the monks set off on their early morning walk to collect alms….quite magical. The staff were helpful and friendly, we really could not fault anything. Would...

"This was the first hostel I ever stayed in and it’s still my favourite. I stayed in the all-female 12-bunk dorm and the bed was so spacious and comfortable - there was lots of room to put your bags at the end and multiple little shelves to put your things on. The staff were so friendly and the free shuttle to and from the night market was so convenient, I went every night of my stay. I also really liked how there was one main table at the bar, which made it so much easier to make friends during...
