"Second time we’ve stayed here and it’s become the preferred option for visiting friends who live nearby in Oxford. It’s recently renovated, super clean and very comfortable. It’s self checkin but lots of comms from staff and a very straightforward process. Also found staff to be very responsive when messaging to arrange a late checkout. "Parking was only ok because we arrived late in the day on a Saturday and were able to park on the street outside for free. Any other day and I think you’d have to pay to park on the high street. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night so no complaints. Pinos across the road was excellent for dinner. "

"Very easy to find the property, easy self check in instructions. Great recommendations given for near by places for food and drink. Clean room and comfy bed. Only down point to the room is a floor piece trim could be put down between bedroom and bathroom due to the different height of flooring it’s a toe stubber opportunity. "Room was disappointing. Ceiling fan didnt work and it was a heatwave. Extractor in bathroom stayed on for an hour once light had been turned off. Only 1 pillow per person on the bed. Bath towels rough and many straggly ends. All surface areas were sticky, disgusting. Will never recommend this place, it was not the standard we paid for."

"We were most welcomed on our arrival, everything was explained as regards to amenities. The breakfasts certainly set you up for the day, they were well presented and freshly cooked and came to the table hot, which was bonus. For anyone going to Oxford, we would highly recommend a stay at the River Hotel and very reasonably priced. Thanks for comfortable stay."

"The Bell Inn was gorgeous it would have received a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the staffing issues. Housekeeping had failed to turn up that day and they hadn’t realised until nearly checking time so we never got into our room until 5.45. The staff dealt with this delay professionally and we were served with complimentary drinks. This caused us a bit of an issue as we had to leave at 6.15 for a meal elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again if in this area."
