"While this is an older hotel, it is clean, things are in working order, and rather charming and unique. For example, I had a large room with a small patio that offered a beautiful view of the city. It’s in a quaint quiet town with gorgeous views of the mountains surrounding the town. I appreciated the thoughtful touch of hot green tea. The thermos amazingly kept the water hot even till the next morning. Because I went during « low » season in May, I was able to enjoy the onsen to myself ! The...

"Did not stay the full 2-night stay, I left 8am after the first night. Woke up and noticed I was sleeping on a pillow that had mold spots. Blinds were broken and dilapidated. A layer of dust was on the bed stand. Onsen was covered in mildew and water dispenser was covered in mold also. About a kilometer up hill from the bus terminal. The outside of the building looks like it hasn’t been updated or worked on in a while. Would not stay here again."

"We came for a short stay to recharge between our destinations. This property is older, but the rooms and the bath were clean. The room was very spacious and had extra blankets and stuff which was nice. Free snacks and alcohol was awesome!! The baths were also so relaxing. Sweet views and chill vibes. We loved getting a taste of the authentic Japanese stay experience. Not a lot of options for food since the town (?) was really small. Worth it for the quiet nature experience though."

"となりがイオンモールなので、夕飯、お土産など買い物しやすかったです。"

"Safe and clean. Very convenient."

"温泉はかけ長しだけですが。貸切りに出来るので良かったです。"

"The room is clean, friendly staff but breakfast is very basic. "

"Upon arriving during the two-hour check-in window, I was puzzled as to if anyone worked here. I walked in the front, no one. Went around back, just a couple ski resort patrons. I was sure I was in the right building from the photos, but it looked more like an abandoned building with some squatters in the form of skiers. "

"内線が無い。 部屋が少し臭かった。"

"The staff were so welcoming from the moment we checked in, even helping us carry our heavy suitcases up to the second floor. The room was lovely and spacious, with all the traditional ryokan elements you would expect. Located an easy 10-minute bus ride directly from the station, and you can use your Pasmo card on the bus. From the nearest bus stop, it’s just a five-minute walk. The only thing travellers should be aware of is that, as the ryokan is located in the historic part of Nagano, most...
