"I spent $400 usd for 2 nights thinking I would have all the amenities that was posted. Upon entering the "suite" i noticed the Air Conditioning did not work well in one of my rooms. The TV had a few basic channels, majority didn't work. The massage parlor did not exist. The wine and dine lounge did not work. The breakfast was cold. I'm never using this hotel again. I left the hotel after one night. Very poor. I expected better especially when I paid so much money. Some kind of reimbursement...

"The reception person did not speak English. He was very friendly though and with Spanish translator, it wasn’t a big problem. Place was quite old and a bit run down. It was relatively clean but lost stars because of its worn out rooms. Location was convenient but that also made it noisy on a Friday night."

"I stayed for three weeks in the guesthouse "De Kleine Historie" and had a very nice time. The accommodation is centrally located and everything is within walking distance. Both the rooms and the bathrooms and toilets are very clean. The rooms are basic, but what more could you want for this price. You won't stay in your room in a country as beautiful as Suriname. Only to sleep. The staff was very friendly. Rochelle and Jurgen in particular. I will definitely book my next stay in Suriname again...
