"Was never informed that you needed an ID to check in. We arrived for at our stay"

"We only stayed one night because we were passing through after a long day of driving, but unfortunately this hotel was a disappointment. We paid $145.30 for the room and expected it to be clean and well maintained. The room did not match the photos very well. The bedding had brown stains and had to be replaced, the bathroom counters didn’t appear to have been wiped down, the floors didn’t seem properly cleaned, the chairs were heavily stained, and the refrigerator was broken and smelled. "Room was not clean, tv did not work properly, the towels were barely bigger than a hand towel with the lowest thread count I have ever seen in a hotel, there was no body wash or conditioner. When I brought a towel down to the front desk the response was terrible. “The real towels are on order and the truck outside has the soap and conditioner it happens you know” Don’t know why I am paying full price for such a lousy experience . Lesson learned."

"Did not have towels in our room after we gave them our used ones, went to the desk to get more and they said sorry I only have hand towels and wash clothes, so we had to dry off with hand towels. The carpet is very dirty, must put shoes on asap you get out of the shower or your feet will be dirt."

"Shame on Clarion Hotels for neglecting this waterfront property and letting it become a sad, shabby, not inexpensive, hotel. The room phone was broken, the room safe didn’t work, room keys didn’t work, the room was poorly lit, and the bathroom was yuck. The staff was friendly, though our room across from the housekeeping area was loud with staff arguing or having conversation. The restaurant was fine. The only thing edible at the free breakfast offered by the hotel, was a tiny yogurt."

"This was a last minute 2 day, one overnight trip, so available accommodations were scarce. The price and location were the deciding factors, so went with that. The property is ages; could look past the initial cleanliness, unfortunately there was a plumbing issue that occurred that impacted part of the building that we in. We discovered this when returning from a night out and walked into overflowed toilet with sewage remnants. The staff was apologetic and reimbursed the stay. It was...
