"There’s some kind of issue with the noise the doors make as they close. It sounds like they are closing right into your room. The air conditioning was on power save the whole time and it was warm in the room with no air circulation. It would have been nice if the window wasn’t locked shut. The robot pizza making machine didn’t work but wasn’t marked as broken. The rooftop bar was nice and bartender was very nice. Front desk staff were nice and helpful."
"Very nice friendly staff at this traditional hotel with heritage lift to all floors. Centrally located and convenient for Train Station and centre of Bern
Room was clean, tidy and confortable."
"Had a great time. This is my paternal grandfather's hometown. Great location, helpful staff. You need new pool cues! The tops are all broken. Had a great time. The old city was magical!"
"1. lost the electric power in the restaurant and microwave machine - hotel told the power breaker was off last night - no excuses
2. Sound of mice in the wall
3. Two lights in the room were lost power connection
4. Room keys are heavy like India Punjab warehouse keys - needs to lock the room door manually for sleep. Then needs to open to move out to the bathroom
5. Every lights are not bright enough - line the lights of mine"
"Had an excellent stay. Very quiet and calm nights, didn’t see too many faces but the cleaner greeted me every morning! :)
Perfect location near the central station and cozy room with good facilities! "
"Church bells chiming every 15 minutes, I should have inquired.
Breakfast is simple as could be, in a windowless cellar room.Staff unfriendly when asked for help.
Room had builder's issues. This was communicated with owner in person."
"Very difficult to reach the Peanut Medieval Lodge.
Ridiculous staging of the room which is supposed to be medieval (colors, decoration, bathtub, etc). I did not felt agreeable in this setting.
Minimal service.
However, the bed was excellent which is the most important."
"We stayed in the Rhubarb room and lived the complete kitchen with a huge wet bar! Also having a coffee table and comfortable chairs/sofa was nice. Plenty of beds (5) for most families. The check in process was slightly confusing. Read the email carefully. The entry door was tough to find but it is right by the Restaurant du Banneret.
The location was perfect, right by the Chateau. This neighborhood is walkable although on a hillside, with lots of cute shops and restaurants.
Overall, highly...
