"We had unit #28 which has a kingsize bed, jacuzzi, balcony and in unit heating stove. The view was magnificent; and the wood burning stove is a whimsical touch. It’s close to everything (the town is very small to begin with). It’s very close to Cerro Calvario, which offers great views of the city, lake Titicaca and sunset. Because of the view, the property sits on a hill and requires climbing some stairs to get to the units but the view is worth it."
"Este es un Hostal familiar que yo diría parece más a un Hitel. Está bien ubicado a pasos del Teleferixo. El Staff fue muy amable y el desayuno en la mañana era bien reconfortante. Mi habitación estaba bien limpia y era bien cómoda."
"I booked Hotel Sal Andina through Expedia for three nights, but my experience was extremely disappointing.
Expedia stated that English and Spanish were available, but I could not communicate with any staff member in English. All explanations were in Spanish, so I had to use a translation app every time. This made even simple interactions stressful.
Expedia also advertised a 24-hour front desk, but staff were not actually available 24 hours a day. I had a prepaid tour departing at 3:30 AM, but...
"This hotel was excellent. The property is in a convenient location right near the main square and tourist offices. The breakfast was delicious and the room was lovely and clean. The room was also very warm and hot running water which was very welcome!! The staff are very friendly and helpful, I would certainly recommend a stay here."
"It was such an inexpensive place that it is really impossible to give anything but high marks. We only stayed a few hours before leaving after mid night to catch our flight. I can not give 5 stars because of the horrible check in system. My husband, myself, our driver stood in front of the building with no idea which gate we are supposed to go in. We kept ringing the bell next to the gate. After a few minutes we saw that the gate was unlocked. So, we went inside the yard. There are two doors....
"As an American I can say that the breakfast felt a bit small and light but it seemed more traditional to the area so no complaints there. Not their fault I have a poor diet.
The staff was wonderful and very accommodating even after our stay. The room was clean. The room also had a lil entry room so the door doesn’t open immediately open into your bed which felt more private.
The area nearby had amazing restaurants and coffees just within a couple of blocks. La Rufina, Manq’a, Illapso...
"We didn’t get to check in as no one was at the hotel. We tried calling the number provided and no one answered. We tried contacting hotels.com but they didn’t help either, and have ignored all emails about refunds! Terrible experience! Would not recommend!"
"The staff was friendly. However, the bathroom did not seem to have been properly cleaned before our stay. Also, the host was asleep when we wanted to enter the hostel around 11 p.m. We had to wait for about 10 minutes and keep calling before he woke up and opened the door."
"Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll gestaltet, die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Anders als in anderen Hostel dieser Preisklasse gab es in jedem Zimmer ein Heizgerät. Mit dem warmen Wasser war es morgens schwierig, ein übliches Problem in dieser Jahreszeit. Wir würden hier wieder übernachten."
