"The host was very prompt and helpful in replying to my questions. The cabin is delightfully "rustic" and is located in a wooded area. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, the kayaks, and the hot tub. Getting kayaks to the lake is difficult if you don't have access to the golf cart and trailer. However, we were able to load three kayaks in a van and launch them at the accessible public Hollandsburg Boat Ramp which is very close to the cabin. There are two Dollar General stores close to the cabin if you need food or other supplies. There are wonderful hiking trails at Racoon Lake State Recreation Area (nearby) and at Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park (each about 30 minutes from the cabin)."

"The staff were great, helpful and generous throughout our stay. The hotel is on the older side, so you will need to be okay with a little wear and tear around the edges. The pool is not operational, so that was a bit of a bummer for our son but Billie Creek Village is a 2 minute walk, so that made up for it. Parking is plentiful. We traveled from Montana to attend Bridge Festival. Being able to walk to Billie Creek and catch the free ride to downtown Rockville made our enjoyment of Bridge Festival all that much more since we did not have to deal with traffic and parking throughout the day."

"Perfect location if you want to be close to Turkey Run Park and Shades State Park. House was clean, nicely decorated, and had what we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the nice front porch. The mattress on the bed was very firm so if you are like me and need a softer bed, then you will want to bring a mattress topper."
