Beautiful room, comfy bed, lovely ground with an amazing view and a nice Pool. Breakfast was okay, Not too filling but yoghurt was yummy. Restaurant staff only speaks spanisch but was very accomodating and friendly, great experience, beautiful view is a lovely Bonus! Dinner menu is more international, Pasta was very yummy, Burger was Alright. Reception is mostly left unattended, in my experience, but Manager can be reached via WhatsApp.

Posada James is a beautiful hotel with wonderful owners & staff, within easy walking distance of Las Pozas / the Edward James sculpture garden. The owners went out of their way to make sure I had a good stay, and the staff were friendly and kind (and wonderful cooks!) The view from the porch where food was served was unbelievably beautiful. Would absolutely stay again!

Xilitla is a paradise by itself but Posada James added a nice touch to our trip. The location, owners, food and thenentire personnel were amazing. You can also get some discounts on local attractions. The surrealist garden of Ed James is withing a short walk distance.

Two days in Xilitla

Our hosts at Posada Verde were very accomodating. They helped us obtain entrances to the Garden of Edward James and arranged for an english speaking guide. The food at the Posada was excellent and the contenental breakfast was lovely. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, i contemplated staying a third night just to enjoy the comfort and good sleep

Where do I start, you must stay here it was a dream, very nice staff and el dueño, no pues era muy hamable. En la mañana el andaba solo y el nos hice café. You can walk to the garden of Edward James. And the view is amazing. Rooms clean and warm, food delicious. Exactly like the photos (even better) exceeded my expectations, also quiet for us viejitas but you can walk to the party it’s very close. Super peaceful.

The location was close to the entrance of the Edward James Gardens. It had a nice patio with a beautiful view and a pool. The breakfast was supposed to be included, but they charged us for it. We had to change rooms because it was musty and mildew. The room they gave us had double beds instead of a king, no TV and no screens on the windows. The tub and shower left a lot to be desired and they charged us same price as an upgraded room.

Awesome quiet beautiful and well kept little gem of a stay while in the huasteca. Even though we lost power within an hour of checking in the staff was amazingly attentive and our meal there was top notch especially with just candlelight and sounds of nature made for a memorable night.

Everything was just ok. Excellent view from room 8. Only withdrawal was the giant cockroach that slept with us. Literally woke us up. For the rest the hotel is ok and at 5 minutes walk from main attraction in town

We stayed a Posada James one night, stopping in the "Pueblo Magico" of Xilitla on way back from Tampico to San Miguel de Allende. The posada is a charming inn, owned and run by a fabulous couple, she from the Canary Islands, he from Tampico. Situated a short walk to the famous Edward James Las Pozas sculpture garden,and about a kilometre or so walk to the center of town, it is cozy, with a fabulous view, lovely swimming pool, and an excellent restaurant. We were treated to a an excellent craft beer each from the nearby Cerveceria James(definitely worth a pit stop!) by our hosts when I mentioned that I was a craft beer fan(having moved to SMA from San Diego). Our room was simple, but tasteful and cozy, and the bed, pillowtop with an added memory foam pad, was incredibly comfortable. The posada is truly charming, peaceful, and a great escape from all hustle and bustle and very reasonably priced. Don't expect a 4 or 5 star hotel, but a very comfortable, welcoming family-owned inn. We intend to return when we go back to Xilita, taking advantage of the invitation of the owners to go hiking in the hills around Xilitla.
