Worcester Bank House Hotel, Spa & Golf delivered an adequate but underwhelming stay. The room and bed were ok, comparable to a Premier Inn in décor and comfort, but the wider hotel felt tired and poorly maintained. Hall carpets were sagging and dirty, woodwork was damaged, and several areas looked neglected. Despite its four‑star rating, the experience was closer to three‑star. The Garden Room restaurant was the biggest disappointment. Although marketed as relaxed fine dining, the reality didn’t match. The menu was limited, the food average, and the service very poor. On a quiet Friday at 8pm, staff seemed disengaged, with long waits and no check‑ins. A supervisor offered dessert menus and never returned. One young staff member was apologetic, but overall service fell far below expectations. We refused the automatic 10% service charge, which was removed. Breakfast was fine and self‑service, though I had to point out that the music was skipping before it was fixed. The spa pool was usable but again tired‑looking. Overall, the hotel feels oversold and not maintained to the standard it advertises. There are better options for the money, and a Premier Inn would offer more reliable comfort. I wouldn’t return.

Need air con in the rooms. Staff were so helpful & accommodating. Pillows are not good. I feel use of pool & sauna would be better as included in night stay as I didn’t want to pay £15 each for a quick dip & sauna. These are the only negative points. Everything else was amazing

Room was perfect for a family of 4 (two kids aged 9 & 10) and we needed them to have a separate bed - which was great as they could stretch out! Room was clean and spacious! Breakfast was really nice, lots of selection. Food in the evening was also great, and we sat outside in the garden area. The staff were wonderful in the restaurant and so friendly and helpful. The wonderful lady on reception when we arrived made our girls’ stay, she was so kind and gave them some colouring and a lovely bear. We will definitely return!

We had a standard room which was suitably spacious for a comfortable stay. The check in process was simple and straight forward. Guest who book on Expedia (or other we sites) are required to pay £15 for spa access, whereas direct book guest pay £10 for the same service. The spa is nice, but it’s a bit small. It wasn’t very busy so I had no issues whatsoever. But if it’s busier be aware: the sauna and steam room fits 2-3 people only, the whirlpool is suitable for 4 people. The pool is very spacious though and there’s plenty of indoor loungers to facilitate comfort when it’s cooler outside. The golf course nearby is well maintained and offers a good 18 hole course, that hotel guests can utilise at a reduced green fee of £25 per person. The buffet breakfast is delicious and offers everything one could want, including a good selection of gluten free items (kept apart from the rest of baked goods) and a choice of non-dairy milks. The only thing I would have liked to see (for the cherry on top) is a smart tv that allows for guests to sign into their own Prime or Netflix accounts. One thing to note is that although WiFi coverage in the hotel is excellent, mobile phone reception is terrible in the general area. So if you’re planning to work, you’re bound to areas that the hotel WiFi covers well enough.

Most of the beer in the bar was off. We asked for an extra fan for the room, it didn't turn up. My wife is a vegan, we asked for oatmilk in the room. That didn't arrive either. To cap it all when we left we were told that we had to pay an extra £55.00 as the price we were quoted was less than what it should have been. Won't be stopping here again.

Nice enough, a bit shabby here and there (new carpets needed?!). A good spa (though don’t miss the hidden charge of £15pd on top of the room price to get in). The WiFi needs to be better for the price. Nice grounds for a drink and a decent restaurant (nice to have the pianist on Saturday night). A good breakfast, but a bit frantic and thin if you leave it until the end of the session.

Parts of the hotel are tired and in need of an upgrade. The bed base in the room we stayed in needed to be discarded and replaced. It had started to collapse and won’t be long before it completely breaks (room 104). Excellent breakfast.

Always enjoy our time here but it was a shock to find that access to the spa is no longer included. Expedia should make this clear on their website as the reviews all say how lovely the spa is butno mention of the £15 per person each day required which puts an additional £60 on an overnight stay if you want to go in when you get there and before you leave.

Lovely Hotel, clean, friendly staff. Disappointed in the breakfast, looked at the menu online and was looking forward to some fresh eggs Benedict with salmon, instead it was a buffet breakfast with all the food under heat lights, so the eggs were like rubber, the bacon was very fatty, sausages dried out. Fruit juice sat in open jugs so was like room temperature and open to atmosphere. Would stay again but without the breakfast.

One of the best hotels my chap and I have stayed in for a long time. It wasn't 'tired', the staff were helpful, the breakfast was excellent and the room clean. If we had to fault it, being very picky, the bathroom was a bit cramped and the towels weren't changed when we asked. The superb spa treatment that was a last minute booking, was a bonus. We highly recommend this hotel and we will be staying again.

Room was lovely an so was the spa! Didn’t like that I had to walk through the restaurant from the spa in a towel to get a drink! Then was handed a prosecco in a paper tea cup! Hidden costs. Inadequate spa facilities for the number of clientele. Billed incorrectly. Food menus pricey and the food was uninspiring and very average. Danger of scalding as regulator on hot tap was locked onto full heat- had to call out staff to rectify problem. The staff were fine, but it seemed they lacked direction at times. False alarm from fire alarm just as dropping to sleep. Definitely did not come up to expectations.
