"the person on reception was very unhelpful-I asked for the number for room service and when I went up to my room I found there was no telephone so how I am I meant to contact reception?? Turned out the lift was not working and my room was on the third floor; had to carry the luggage up to my room myself. The window in my room had been left open; it turned out there was a bad odour which they were trying to reduce. Bed was very uncomfortable blanket was thread bear, mattress was thread bear and very noisy. Shower head was broken unable to adjust the height. The hair dryer was broken. The kitchen/restaurant was closed and no food available. Upon complaining to reception I was told what you expect this is a three star hotel! The photographs are very misleading the places dilapidated. Whilst trying to sleep loud booming noises from downstairs where a wedding party was taken place - managed to fall asleep eventually."

The breakfast was delicious and everything you could possibley want - we didn't have an evening meal but was advised that we would need to pre-order on the day of arrival due to ongoing redecoration works in the hotel. Plenty of parking to the rear of the hotel. Overall an excellent stay."
