Was a great price, facility old but functional. Staff was nice, seemed iverworked
The staff were polite and helpful. The property is old and dilapidated (door lock didn’t work, dysfunctional light fixtures, dirty carpet, and even a non-smoking room reeked of old cigarette smoke ). But for $100 it’s close to an interstate highway, only about 7 miles from the University of Connecticut, and the tv-microwave-shower-hvac all worked fine.

The staff was great. The rooms are old the air conditioner worked well but the carpet around it was damp in the morning the walls had water stains and the tile in the bathroom needs a serious cleaning. I also thought it was strange when I went to exchange my towels I had to wait for them to be washed and dried before they were brought back. Very quiet area close to the highway and dining areas.
Great stop for the night. Breakfast was great for the kids.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Bit lower than average no extra toliet paper 1 blanket walls had stuff on them not sure what and the shower head was zip tied to hold it up forever for some hot water , horrible breakfast choices. Hotel extremely loud with kids till 1 am had to complain several times and we had three adults and a two year-old child very hard to sleep. We left as soon as we woke up when we could hear the kids running upstairs. The staff was really nice. I just think they need more help and definitely some bleach. but we needed a place to sleep overnight so it worked, but I wouldn’t go back.
Pocketdoor to bathroom did not have a lock, and there was a hole where the lock should have been. It was helpful to open and close the door. Not much for continental breakfast, no juice..was convenient to the speedway which is why we stayed there.
As an emergency stay when my car broke down, the hotel was just fine. Clean room, hot water, soft bed. The property is in dire need of refurbishment, however. The breakfast was truly horrible (stale donuts, toast and cereal). Wonderful staff, and I got a good night's sleep. Owners, maybe put a little more into the place.
The front desk staff were nice and prompt with getting me checked in. The physical property needs an overhaul. The lobby wasn't very inviting; ceiling panel missing due to obvious water issue & wires hanging down from the opening. My room was spacious and good lighting. The A/C and TV worked well. The bathroom was a different story. The shower should but gutted. I needed to lay a towel on the shower floor and the shower head needs replacing badly. Bed protective cover has see better days. The mattress was comfortable. This isn't the worst place I've stayed. If giving updates, the location is good, easy access to Interstate 84 along with gas station and food option.
The staff was nice. Rooms gross had to change rooms. Unkempt and dirty

I've stayed at this property before. The rooms and adjacent areas need updating, but the rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. The tv in our room #214 wasn't working properly and needs to be replaced.

Clean, comfortable
Leak in the toilet, water ran continuously
Poor lighting over the sink, missing a bulb in a 2 bulb fixture
AC/Heating unit VERY LOUD could not put it on because of the noise
The staff was below average but housekeeping was great. The owner was negotiable but the hotel needs a makeover ie: new carpets, a thorough clean, some paint, and softer beds. The area around the hotel has a diner which was great, a Burger King, and a convenience store/gas station that has the highest prices in CT!! All in all i give the area a solid 2 out of 5, but the diner a solid 4. The menue was ecclectic and the food & staff was great. Good travels.
The room was soooo dirty. And because I prepaid and they don’t accept refunds, I went to Walmart and bought lots of bleach and cleaning supplies. I bleach everything bleachable, including the walls. Every wall. From top to bottom. Gross nicotine and God knows what else started dripping down the wall. I sanitized every surface, including the beds/bedding and carpet. I cleaned the air filter that was never cleaned before, EVER. However, the staff was very nice and they were helpful and willing to help in any way. Oh… and the TVs don’t work.
Worst overnight experience ever since traveling to Connecticut. Breakfast and pool advertisements but no pool and breakfast was something else. that it was better to refuse and purchase outside .The staff were pleasant. Bathroom small, linens scarce register for party of 4 got supplies for 2 upon checking in and 2 when request for linen service was made, for freshening up in the morning.Non smoking was like a smoke pit. Needs upgrading like yesterday. The outside of the property far exceeds the outdated furnishings etc.on the inside. Everything is old and smells the same only with cigarette smoke. NEVER again.
When I came into the hotel I was greeted by a stench on cigarettes with marijuana on the 2nd floor. When I entered the room, it was left uncleaned with used towels, unmade pillows and a stench of sweat. The carpet was filled with red and yellow stains with dust all over. We asked the front desk for change of rooms. When changing the rooms everything was nice and looked clean. To my surprise when I was about to fall asleep my skin started to ich. I checked my body and I was covered my bed bug bites. I am horrified with this hotel. How can a hotel even allow this? Do not go here, look at the reviews. Get a refund as soon as you read this review.
Poor! I did not realize tbat this establishment was at a truck stop/gas station. When booking and looking at the photos on line, dont be fooled. It is a bait and switch. The building is in need of repairs, furniture is old, the "continental breakfast" area, dont waste ur time. Our room smelled of mold and smoke, the bedding looked old, there were holes in tbe blankets (cigarette burns). Shower curtain was hangjng off and mold in the ceilling. Worse of all, there was no heat. We did not feel comfortable or safe. We slept in our clothes. I was willing to lose $100 to find another hotel, unfortunately, i was not able to find another place. It looked like others were living in the hotel. The department of health or management must care about this establishment to enure it is a clean, safe and an inhabitable environment for its guess.
This hotel is not for the faint of heart or the immuno-compromised. My wife and I stayed here out of necessity (UConn convenient). The hotel is dirty to the point of feeling like you should wear latex on all exposed skin, and the very young, very old, and those with open sores should avoid it. The odor is distinct. Imagine a stack of dirty ashtrays piled next to a sink of old dishwater under a midday July sun, and then imagine this in a gas station. The staff is noteworthy too. I met a manager.
He was gruff and wet and beefy. He ordered me to sit down during check in. He repeated the command about four times over the course of a minute. I did not want to sit down on the faux leather couch or its sister couch. Mostly because the two boys who were playing on these couches (unsupervised) seemed to be sticking to the pleather. So, no thanks. I don't want to sit down on your creepy, pleather glue traps. This hotel boasts two starts, which must be aspirational. Look anywhere else for lodging. If you must book here, use caution. Get your shots. Take your vitamins. Open your mind, and, admittedly, it could be worse.
