Sip, Fish & Relax Fireside: Serene Schulenburg Gem
10/10 Excellent
"We booked The Hideaway for our small group gathering over the 4th of July, and it was exactly the quiet escape we were hoping for. The house has such a warm, easygoing character, with great porches for sitting outside together and plenty of room to spread out. The history of the home and what it now offers guests is a wonderful story the owners should be proud of sharing. We spent our days lounging in the cowboy tank, a perfect way to cool off on a hot day, and our evenings unwinding and playing dominoes in the dining room. Schulenburg was the perfect distance to get away from the busy city. Would happily book again for another low-key getaway."
"We came to Shiner for the Halfmoon Holidays BBQ cookoff. The location was perfect. It was literally a straight shot down the street to the park so we were able to easily get back and forth on the side by side. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a major misunderstanding, but they were super accommodating and worked with us to rectify the situation. We appreciate that so much. The casita itself was great. Very clean. We didn’t cook or use the grill while we were there but they had everything we would have needed if we did. The bed wasn’t my favorite. It was a thinner mattress with a thick bed topper. Too soft for me but other might like it. The shower was great. Nice water pressure and no trouble with hot water. Had everything we needed to get ready. The biggest issue we had was with the AC. The unit was in the main room so it was really hot sleeping in the bedroom. My husband ended up sleeping on the sleeper sofa because it was so hot for him. If it weren’t for that, our visit would have been perfect."
Cozy cabin in enchanting Sheridan with cool AC and relaxing vibe

"Such a cute cabin located blocks away from Splashway! My family enjoyed the games and amenities. Host thought of everything you would need. Upstairs gets a little hot during the summer months, but wasn’t unbearable for our children. Overall, a great experience!"
