"Great experience here. Facilities are great, spa fantastic, views even better, breakfast and other food options are just right. Rooms were and other interiors are clean and very well presented. Parking is by the door and easy accessed. If I’m being really picky (didn’t impact stay) - clearly making improvements so the outside had a lot of building equipment around made outside look a little scruffy and the spa area needed a bit of a tidy during the day as a bit of glassware left lying around. Overall, a great hotel and brilliant to stay. "

"Superb pub with rooms some of which are pet friendly. The bar area was open to dogs and we met quite a few well behaved pooches. The food is the same whether restaurant or bar and is excellent. The breakfasts are worthy of mention, eggs were delicious. Staff are lovely helpful and seem very happy in their work. They could not do enough for us. Excellent large car park with quick access to reception. Needless to say surrounded by beautiful scenery, Lakeland views and set in a quiet location . Brilliant short break. "

"Travelling with 4 year old daughter, very good stay, stayed for one night to visit family in Kendal, less than 10 mins drive away, large comfortable room, clean and nicely presented, good sized bed and comfortable, shared bed with daughter, large room was unexpected and ideal for her to play, smart decor throughout, didn't eat in bar so can't comment of food but the continental breakfast included although fairly basic was decent and a good selection of options (cooked breakfast you needed to order and separate charge). Small play park outside was also very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. "

"Excellant breakfast choice and period of which this was great. Gym facitilities were ok but not all appeared to be in working order. Cleaan pool. Jacuzzi, steam roon and sauna. Grounds were nice and well kept."
