"A great, and very well (recently) refurbished Coaching Inn, right in the heart of Frome, with a fab breakfast and helpful friendly staff as well. Having stayed in a few "brewery chain" old coaching inns recently where the "updating" seems to involve only a coat of paint and a new shelf in the bathroom, it was very welcome to find that the rooms (anbd bathrooms) at the George have been completely and professionally re-done to "you'd be very pleased if this was your own house" standard. "Great to see EV charge points at places like this - it makes us much more likely to book if we know this is available. The room was small but comfortable. Food service in the pub was friendly and helpful - this included breakfast too."

"The room was clean but breakfast was very crowded and was difficult to get what I needed. Often the coffee machine doesn't work"

"Property is very clean. Only thing is the rooms are to small. My fault for not paying attention to the advertising. However despite that it’s very good. Complimentary wine and cheese for loyalty membership. Again very good but if you need room space it’s different. If I had been traveling alone this would not matter"

"Nice central location - double bedroom not great with two single beds joined rather than a proper bed and room seemed to incorporate lots of accessibility equipment which wasn’t what we wanted or needed and impacted the rooms look unfortunately."
