Wookey Hole Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel, room spacious, clean and cool with a powerful fan supplied. Games room really enjoyed by our grandchildren, could do with a change machine though. Restaurant served lovely buffet breakfast and good selection of evening meals. Seemed a bit disorganised but it was busy most evenings. Definitely stay here again as very convenient for Wookey Hole, Cheddar and Weston Super Mare."

Savoy Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We wanted a cheap overnight stay last minute and booked this hotel. It is actually a newer building to the savoy (but the same chain). It still smells of fresh paint. We got what we wanted with this hotel. All the amenities available, clean room, bedding and linen, the shower was hot. There was a TV with remote, wifi access and a kettle (plus some complimentary tea and coffee). The hotel has a few limited parking spaces outside (for £10). It has a feeling of being secure, with a key code access after a certain time at night. Its a stones throw from the beach and a 24 hour car park. The host Ali was very welcoming and seems like a very decent guy. Very helpful and gave us some good recommendations. If you want something clean, good location and good for the price I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely use next time we are down. Thanks very much"

The Walnut Tree Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Just a lovely all round great place. Good value, lovely people and comfortable."

Sidcot Arms
8/10 Good
"We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival with lots of fuss made over our dog. We booked a family room ( not sure we were allocated the room we booked) and were allocated room 1. The room was very small and didn’t have any kind of view. We had to switch the air conditioning off because it was very noisy. Room looked a bit tired. Lovely basket with dog treats, dog bowl and poo bags left for us. Sparce choice for adults and nothing for our daughter. We ate in the restaurant, staff were very friendly but service was slow. We enjoyed our food when it arrived. Breakfast was ok but you didn’t get a lot of choice. The hotel room was fairly cheap when we booked, the hotels in s nice spot with plenty of parking. Was it good value? Yes. Would we recommend? Yes. Would we stay again? Yes for the same rate that we paid ."

The Royal Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Lovely clean room excellent staff perfect for Bristol airport!"

The Castle at Taunton
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely 'old school' hotel right in the middle of town. Suprisingly quiet. Very helpful staff."

ibis Bridgwater
10/10 Excellent
"Ultra modern but very comfortable and spacious rooms, lovely bathroom. Great to have lemon water available in foyer for guests . Breakfast good too. Food quickly replaced in the breakfast buffet as it ran out. Good atmosphere in bar and quirky design, very comfortable. Could do with better instructions for air con as windows dont open even an inch, but everything else wonderful. And a grab rail in shower would be great."

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South - Cadbury House
8/10 Good
"We stayed for one night in a Deluxe Double Room as two adults and two children. The room included a sofa bed, which worked well for our family. We booked the half-board package, which is worth noting only applies to adults. Children’s evening meals are charged separately, although they can eat breakfast free of charge. The highlights were definitely the staff, who were all friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, making for a lovely setting. The pool was clean and enjoyable, the bed was very comfortable, and the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was particularly impressive, with a great choice and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. There were a few downsides though. Housekeeping knocked on our door three separate times before the advertised check-out time, which made us feel like we were being rushed out of the room. Parking at £12 for one night also felt overpriced. Finally, the hotel photos are a little misleading, as the bedrooms are actually located in a separate, newer building next to the main house rather than in the historic building pictured, which wasn’t what we were expecting. The layout of the accommodation was also quite confusing and not particularly easy to navigate. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with great facilities and excellent staff. With a few small improvements, it would be an even better experience."
