Great potential , can be alot better

No near by shops or restaurents. No minibar in the rooms , to be fair they kept my medications in the restaurent and handled the situation well Nice place close to the beach. Great value for money. Good AC. Very clean. Good food in the hotel restaurent. They provided transportation with acceptable prices.

Habitación mal aislada del ruido

La habitación esta bien, pero esta muy mal aislada del ruido, se oye bastante pasar los coches por la carretera, el pasillo, el hilo musical del hotel, el tren pasar y los cuervos de los arboles. No hay agua caliente. El personal es correcto y atento. La comida esta buena.

Staff are super friendly and nice. Always trying to help including welcome drink etc. Hotel does match expectations however I felt it was a bit more expensive for what you receive. The bed sheets are not the cleanest, and the internet only works really well if you are close to the central hallway, which in my case meant sitting in the toilet to have proper internet access.

Lovely hotel in the right area

The rooms and hotel are fabulous, big and bright and really nicely decorated. Ok, so the hotel backs right onto the train tracks, but they didn’t run late and although the first train at 5:30 woke me on the first morning, I dropped straight back off again and didn’t have any other issues. However, I should point out we were on the side of the hotel in a deluxe room. If you have a basic room on the back, it may affect you more as these rooms look straight down onto the tracks. Although the Marriott is directly opposite blocking any view of the sea, you can easily get to the beach down the side of the Marriott and this bit of the coast is the cleanest and nicest bit of the beach (presumably because the Marriott have staff keeping it that way). The all the staff were lovely and arranged a car to the airport when we flew home.

LinenThe TV

The bed linen was not to my liking. The beds are made with a DUVET on top. It did NOT look fresh or clean. The pillows and bed sheet was spotless. A bed should have a covering sheet and then OVER IT the DUVET.

Modern room, great dinner and breakfast

Chef was most memorable because the food was delicious. Service staff were attentive and thoughtful, especially at the restaurant. The toilet should separate the shower so that the whole floor and W.C would not be entirely wet when guest takes a shower. Train track is next to hotel.

Nice and comfortable hotel

Overall is very nice. The hotel is beside the railway, noisy in the morning when train passby.

Clean place

The room and the bathroom was clean but they had a problem with the light which they fixed later. Other than that they had twin bad joined so we requested another mattress or to change room but they said the category is full. Which they later fixed by putting a quilt in between to bed. We had lunch first day at rooftop restaurant and it was good. But next day when we went for dinner and we ordered chicken curry and the chicken was not cooked well. They offers free drinks and cook the curry again but we didn't want to take the risk so had dinner somewhere else. Other than that the train noise is very loud as the hotel is just next to the railway line.

close to the beach with no beach views

My husband and I stayed at the Brizo Weligama for 2 nights and we were a bit disappointed. We were put in room with a view of the railroad tracks that are literally right behind the hotel and yes trains are coming by all morning/ day. On the other side of the hotel is the highway, which is very close and loud. Even if we were given a different room There is a brand new Marriot being built right across the street blocking any view of the sea. The staff seemed nice enough but not too helpful and the restaurant staff consisted of one guy who didn't seem to know what was going on, when we asked for some ice it took about 25 minutes..... We arranged for them to call us a tuktuk for a morning whale watching and we woke up to realize they hadn't called to arrange. Overall the rooms are a bit small, but clean and modern and the roof top restaurant is nice and would have a sea view if not for construction across the street. My husband and I probably wouldn't stay there again for about 100 USD a night it just didn't seem worth it....I'd check out one of the other hotels a little further towards town

Hotellin siisteyteen pitäisi kiinnittää parempaa huomiota.. wc ei vedä ja muutenkin etenkin kylpyhuone epäsiisti. Hotelli sijaitsee hyvällä paikalla vaikkakin aivan vierestä kulkeva junarata on meluisa.

Nice dinner and good location for whale watching

I booked this hotel to join the whale watching next day at Mirissa It is close to the beach and I can go by tuk tuk. Then, the restaurant is also recommended. I orded grilled tuna which the Scheff recommended.It was so delicious. Please try it!

酒店簡單舒適

離美蕊沙海灘和市區都近，裝潢簡單時尚，衛浴跟馬桶分開非常棒，不過旁邊有火車鐵軌，我們作息正常，所以沒有什麼影響！

we booked 3 rooms,when we arrived we had no room...overbooked. The owner tried to make us stay in a 10 dollars room by night in a dirty guesthouse pretending it was the same standing We lost pretty much a day to find a better place Be careful

5 star service and even better food!

We booked for 4 nights and stayed an extra night just because of the excellent food and service! Nothing was too difficult.. even bought some fresh seafood from the market and the hotel cooked it up for us! Delicious!!

Top Preisleistungsverhältnis, mit einem kurzen Fußmarsch ist man am Strand. Das Dachterassenrestaurant hatte angemessene Preise und es wurde immer alles frisch zubereitet, da man in die Küche sehen konnte. Zimmer haben eine gute Größe, der Zug fährt hinterm Hotel vorbei.

Really lovely

This hotel was very reasonably priced and so nice! It felt really luxurious compared to many similarly priced hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The terrace restaurant was really good too. Although the Marriot being built across the street means there's no beach view, it's a short walk to all the surf schools on the beach. Also, there are train tracks right behind the hotel, so trains go by regularly. We didn't notice any noise at night, and it was cool to watch them go by, but maybe a very light sleeper would be bothered (if trains are even running at night, which again, we didn't notice). Overall, it was a lovely hotel and a great end to our Sri Lankan adventure!

This is newly opened hotel so everything looked nice. The room was big and nicely equipped. It was clean but the next morning we were negatively surprised seeing rat in our room coming out from our toilet. The service was good and staff was very hospitile but it was visible that they are still learning how to do the business. Namely when coming to hotel our room has been given to other family so we have got another one untill they have settled ours. Although we have not been disturbed by noise it should be point out that hotel is positioned next to railway so it might be quite noisy.
