"We stayed in the Blue Grotto and it was lovely! It is spacious and not connected to the main house, but still have all the conveniences. The bed is extremely high of the ground, so if you are short, you will have to jump or get something to step on. Breakfast was superb!!! Matt and Katie are great hosts and fabulous cooks."

Beach Cottage 1 Mile From Weekapaug & Misquamicut

"When we arrived, there was a very strong musty smell on the lower level. The owner was responsive and came over promptly to address it, which we really appreciated. While the smell did improve, it was still noticeable throughout our stay.Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness was also a concern. There was quite a bit of dust throughout the home, along with leftover dog hair from previous guests and cobwebs in several areas. I have significant dust allergies, and I ended up spending the first hour of our trip cleaning so that I could feel more comfortable. Despite that, I experienced quite a bit of sneezing and coughing during our stay. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but they were manageable.On the positive side, the neighborhood was quiet and pleasant, and the location was great—very close to the beach and other area attractions. My kids really enjoyed the yard, and they especially loved being able to pick peaches right on the property, which was such a fun little bonus for them. The owner was also quick to respond when we brought the initial concern to their attention.Overall, I’d give our stay 4 out of 5 stars. With some additional attention to deep cleaning and the musty smell, this could be a really nice place to stay."

"I absolutely loved this cottage. It was clean, plenty of amenities and stocked with what you might need plus a few extras. It was bright and spacious. Parking was easy. The deck was so peaceful and quiet. Perfect get away. I wished it had closer access to the beach but it wasn’t really an issue, we went to different beaches everyday we were there. Beds were comfy and clean. Plenty of towels were provided as well as beach towels. I stayed in beach cottages in the area since I was a kid and this one didn’t disappoint.If you’re not familiar with RI you should know that salt marshes smell like salt marshes. They’re not overwhelming, but you might notice it once in a while. Water that close to the ocean and salt water marshes are going to be filled with minerals. The cottage provided a water dispenser which was nice for drinking."
