My family and I stayed here on June 12-16 and had a great time. The property is very nice and we got to see the owner several times working in her garden. She made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here.

The house is clean and kid-friendly, having a spectacular view.
Kids can enjoy seeing the chicken farm, fish pond, and cows in the mountain, playing with swings, plucking fruits and playing in the garden and deck.

I rented this property for the week of Thanksgiving. The house was such a wonderful space for a family gathering. It was a great area for my dogs as well. All questions were quickly answered. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone that wants a beautiful getaway with easy access to Waynesville, Asheville, and Black Mountain.

This property is fantastic. The house is beautiful and fully-stocked with everything you’ll need. The back deck is amazing - completely with a koi pond, hot tub, and views of the mountains. This property has gorgeous plants growing everywhere - the entire place is one big beautiful garden! We had a great time and can’t wait to visit again

Robyn, the owner was extremely helpful since we stayed at her home due to evacuating from hurricane Florence. The lockbox was easy to find, the home was extremely clean, there were numerous surprises in the home (complimentary wine, fresh eggs, egg plant and tomorrow’s) and Robyn shared great tips for local places to visit. The mountains were beautiful and the front and back porch were very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!

We shared this updated cottage with family members who had gathered for a wedding over the Labor Day weekend in the North Carolina mountains. It was a very pleasant stay and the owner is a lovely and accommodating host. I actually knew nothing about Waynesville, NC, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a quaint artist town, similar to Asheville, but on a smaller scale. We recommend this lovely cottage.

This house is so cute. We were entertained by the fish, the cows, the chickens, and the birds and butterflies, and the gardens. It was hit or miss rain all weekend, but the covered porches allowed us to still be outside during the time of showers. Robyn and Jeff were quick to answer any questions about the property and the surrounding area. The pet linens were a nice touch!

My family of adults and small children had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the Gardeners Cottage. Everything was well furnished and such a nice deck out back to enjoy the beautiful scenery! We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the very nice large table on the back which seats 10 plus many extra rockers and chairs. We loved the chickens and the fresh eggs we found in the refrigerator. Great location close to Waynesville, Asheville, and Cataloochee Cove. Thank you, Robyn, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We had absolutely the best time in NC mountains staying in Frog Holler farm. We all enjoyed the beautiful garden, farm animals and the history of this old farm house built around 1920s. During our stay we have visited Soco falls, looking glass falls, purchase knob and Catalooche vally where we saw Elk and old buildings left from the 1900s. It is 30 minutes to Ashville and even shorter drive to Waynesville. We are looking forward to come back again and stay at Frog Holler soon.

We, three friends, found The Gardner's House at Frog Holler to be the relaxing weekend retreat we all so desperately needed. The house and the grounds were delightful. Although the house with all of its amenities and gardens are perfect as is, we look forward to seeing the upcoming transformation. Enjoyed meeting you Robyn and look forward to many more visits.

House was as advertised. Front porch was a great place to read and relax. Beds were softer than we like but were comfortable. Bottle of wine & fresh eggs were a nice adder. Property was very pretty but past the season for many of the flowers. Lots of birds (goldfinches, hummingbirds) still visiting the sunflowers and and other flowers. Enjoyed our stay.

Home was clean and as described. The beds were comfortable and we were able to find everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot water in the shower was perfect for the first person to shower up to the last. The fresh eggs were delicious. The house was easy enough to find and check in was simple. We ended up not using the hot tub, but it was clean and ready when we arrived. Large patio would be great during the warmer months.
Overall we are likely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gardener's House at Frog Holler. The house was immaculate and inviting upon arrival. There was plenty of room for the six of us and the kitchen was well-appointed. And don't forget the back deck! It was so nice sitting out on the spacious deck, listening to the water fall into the koi pond and looking out over the gardens and fields, complete with grazing cattle. The house was easily accessible from I-40, which is great if you intend to explore the region. Highly recommended.

The one star ratings: the parking is not motorcycle friendly, and there is one neighbor that's a real grouchy. Laundry needs to have up dated appliances,
Otherwise the property has a homey feel. And the ratings should be higher

Lovely and welcoming! The owner Robyn, did absolutely everything possible to make our stay wonderful. We had a bottle of wine, fresh flowers, fresh eggs, fresh organic vegetables and so much more waiting for us on our arrival. The lovely gardens were such a joy for both dogs and people. Robyn was even sweet enough to bring a baby bunny for our 2 year old granddaughter to pet. Words cannot describe what a lovely home this is. We will forever be grateful to have been able to stay here during such a trying time. We look forward to returning!

We really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary bottle of wine was a surprise! Prior to arrival, the owner was excellent about communication and needing to reschedule from original booking. The gardens were lovely. The only disappointment was the “floor mattresses” in the upstairs room. They are pieces of foam (and some of the sheets for them were holey). The owner came around to say hello and put up some extra deck lights. The outside eating area is great! We definitely hope to come back!

Please read all the reviews for the house! The listing information is accurate. Robyn is very prompt in answering email questions. The only thing that would make this house absolutely perfect is a bathroom as part of the master bedroom (maybe that will be the next renovation). The dirt/gravel entrance road to the house was just fine for the motorcycles and trike - minor item is the entrance to the parking area is a tiny bit step but wasn't a big deal for most of the motorcycles.
Thanks and I hope to stay again

Our stay at Garden Frog Trail was a much needed getaway. The house was large enough for our group, 4 adults, 1 kid and a dog. For a trip scheduled last minute, we thought this location would be an experience. Waking up and being surrounded by farm animals was a hoot. The roster woke us up every morning between 4:00 and 4:30. It was special to have fresh eggs from the sweet hens on the property. Walking the grounds and noticing the hard work Robyn has put into making your stay peaceful and beautiful, was appreciated. The house is an old one but, very well maintained. My family loved the mornings with the cattle from the adjoining properties. The hot tub was a nice expense. We also enjoyed visiting the Waynesville downtown area.
