The inn itself is a remarkable piece of history, beautifully preserved while still providing all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. Walking through the property felt like stepping back in time, with each room and detail telling part of a larger story. What truly set this experience apart was the staff. They were attentive, engaged, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest felt at home. Their hospitality, knowledge of the property’s history, and willingness to assist with anything needed made a lasting impression. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, looking for a peaceful getaway, or simply searching for a unique lodging experience, the Moore House Inn delivers on every level. "Great place for a family getaway. Everything you need for a back to nature adventure with a modern yet country charm vibe. We felt like a queens and kings in the high beds. :) Minutes from quaint little towns and the Omni Homestead resort. The owners also have other rentals near by in case you’re looking for an extended family reunion, or are in the area for a wedding at one of the beautiful venues in town. Beautiful enclosed porch as well as an open deck and a grill for grilling. Definitely would love to come back if ever in the area again."

"Our stay at Hillcrest Mansion was a 4 star experience in every conceivable way. This magnificent house has been meticulously restored. From the gorgeous period antiques to the dinnerware, every element is in pristine condition. But there’s nothing antique about the amenities, From the beautifully appointed, updated bathrooms to a jaw dropping gourmet breakfast, this was our most enjoyable — and indulgent— stay at a bed and breakfast. The owner (Martha) is a warm and gracious host and as an added bonus, you get her charming and entertaining parents. Highly recommend!"

"A property for workers in the area. Clean enough, managed through the restaurant on the property. No breakfast with your stay. The restaurant was nice, good basic food offerings, reasonably priced."

"From the time we arrived the staff were very accommodating and happy to assist. The standard king bedroom was better than expected, so no need to upgrade. Each night we tried a different restaurant and the food was incredible. The day spa pass was worth it! Thanks to all the staff who made our anniversary extra special. We will definitely return."

"It was wonderful if you’re looking for a budget motel with mice and a room that smells like pet urine , this is your place. Your ambience will include patched walls and ceiling and a nice finish of torn carpet. To be fair, we asked if they were pet friendly and they did accommodate us. The staff was apologetic and very helpful, I don’t think there any other options in this area, so it is what it is."
