When we arrived at our checkin, we found our bathroom floor covered with bugs. I immediately went to the office and informed the staff that we just wanted them cleaned up and could she please come before 8pm, when the office closes. She never came. The pill bugs continued to come all through the night, everytime you needed to use the bathroom you needed to kill and then clean up at least 100 bugs. It was atrocious. Since my stay 3 nights ago I have attempted to contact the manager at least 10 times. I’ve called, left messages and visited during the office hours (they aren’t open during posted hours). Everything would have been fine if they would simply have acknowledged that there was an issue which was huge and have since found out was in other cabins as well or in any way provided us an opportunity to speak with them.

Really enjoyed the cabin - in retrospect i would probably have gotten one with a kitchenette for our stay. We had a cabin facing the field (west) and enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out across the field and listening to the meadowlarks. Was handy for visiting Badlands NP for a couple days.

The cabins are very nice, but the chairs were not very comfortable -- big, clumsy, hard on your back wooden chairs. Beds were comfortable, refrigerator nice and cold. All in all, we had an excellent stay. Taking a frontdoor bench seat and looking out over the field was particularly enjoyable, especially during those magnificent storms that come around just about every night in the Badlands. I highly recommend these cabins.

We have always enjoyed staying here but it has gotten awfully expensive for us retired people. We had a queen room on the west side of the property. Our parking spot was very small-I will remember to ask about this if we stay there again....hard to open the car door and get out. Our room was clean. We enjoy staying here. Like to sit outside and night.

I reserved a cabin months in advance. When I arrived for check in, I was informed that another group had more people than they reserved for, so the owner gave them my cabin, as well as others. Yeah, she made a reservation at a HOTEL so I had accommodations, but it was NOT comparable to the cabin. She reasoned that “it’s a nice hotel” and she tried to tell me “if it makes you feel any better, it cost more than you paid”. I checked the price on Expedia and a day of reservation at the hotel was LESS than I paid for the cabin.

Never entered the property. When we arrived they told us they had overbooked and sent us to another hotel that was not comparable. We chose to not stay there and keep driving until we found a suitable place. They gave us no advance notice and said another customer needed twice as many rooms as they had booked. There were 5 or 6 people with reservations that were denied rooms. Never going back.

Arrived late, but was able to easily locate our key and cabin through a key drop at the office. The cabins are super clean and the rustic decor is really cozy. Easy access to the entrance of the Badlands National Park, the expressway, and downtown Wall. Highly recommend.

The cabin we stayed in is not what we paid for on Expedia’s website. We ordered a master king but when we arrived the staff said Expedia sent over an order for master queen cabin. The staff said there was nothing they could do because there were no king cabins available. She told us to call Expedia. So we called Expedia and they said since we had already checked in there was nothing they could do. We asked for some compensation for their mix up but they refused and hung up on me. I immediately called back and spoke to another individual who apologized for the first individual. He filed a “form” and said someone would contact me within 24 hours, it’s been a few days and still no call. I will not use Expedia to book a stay again. Their policies and poor customer service make traveling difficult and unsatisfactory. As for our stay in the queen cabin, my wife and I tried to make the queen bed work, we had to stuff a blanket under the edge of the mattress to provide some support to prevent one of us falling off the bed. I struggled to sleep, every time I turned over I had to be careful not to fall off. None of this was the staffs fault and other than the bed that was too small, we had no other complaints. The room was nice and had good amenities. I recommend the cabins but do not book through Expedia, call cabins directly or find a travel site that has good customer service.
