"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had the beautiful loft room overlooking the canal.it was even better than the photos. The room was spotlessly clean. Every morning we enjoyed the complimentary coffee. The staff was wonderful and we loved the quiet walks along the canals to get to the center of town (about 15 mins). We would definitely stay again."

"Location was a stone throw from Leiden central station which convenient if you are travelling to nearby places. About a 5-10 min walk to the city center. Room was a good size and comfortable. Shower pressure was great! And the bathroom size is good. Note that the bathroom has frosted windows and is see through, it can be covered with curtains (from the outside). The rooms felt modern, wasn’t dated. Elevators only accessible by room key so is secured. Room was brightly lit and there is a small free bottle of water on arrival. Staff were friendly though check in was very slow. A shout out to Nadia at the bar would was very friendly and warm and helped me with some ice. The two downsides were that there was no fridge and no air cond. The climate control system is + or - 3 degrees but i didn’t feel it was working and the room can become a bit warm. The weather wasn’t too hot so I was fine but if you are staying during summer or winter, I would reconsider if the heat/cold bothers you. They also give you a voucher for a free small cup of coffee which was nice. It was good coffee too. Closest supermarket is the AH at the station (it’s a small one). If you want a full size there is also a jumbo near the station about a five minute walk from hotel. I would stay here again if it is not during summer or winter. It was a comfortable stay. Would love to see the hotel install a fridge for staying guests in the future, there is room for it in the cupboard."

"The property is very convenient to the shops and restaurants near the canals in Leiden. Our room was on the first floor, easily accessed with an electronic key. Some street noise was bothersome in the evening. The staff was pleasant but there is no 24 hour reception, so you may have to call if no one is available. Our room was lovely and historic with a very modern bathroom. Overall a good choice for Leiden."

"Pros:•Extremely close to Pelikkan bus stop (1-min walk), which is a 5-min bus ride from Leiden Centraal train station. Apartment is in a quiet part of the city center & a very short walk to restaurants (Bikini Bikini & Fat Pelican), grocery store, & liquor store. And easy walking proximity to most anything else in Leiden city center.•The apartment was truly spotlessly clean. Very neat & tidy.•Well-appointed kitchen with all amenities as stated in the listing. Host provided starter amounts of coffee, tea, & paper towels. Plenty of dishwasher detergent pods for use during our 6-night stay. Plenty of dishes, utensils, & cookware for our needs during our stay.•Bathroom & toilet room were spotlessly clean. Plenty of shower wash, shampoo, toilet paper, & washing machine pods. There is a large bathtub & a separate, fully-enclosed shower. Ample supply of clean towels available for us.•Both bedrooms have very large wardrobes with ample shelving & hanging closet rod space. Also had extra blanket in each bedroom. We found the king-sized bed to be very comfortable.•As per the listing, there are smoke detectors & first aid kit.•We had no issues with Wi-Fi speed while streaming or using multiple devices simultaneously.•Host communication was excellent. Sabine was very quick to reply to any questions & provided helpful information about the area. We appreciated the personal check-in on arrival as well.Cons:•We have no cons.Would we stay here again? Absolutely yes."

"The hotel location is very good for accessing the train and bus stations at Leiden, also by an short walk to central Leiden, which is very interesting. Room, facing the railway, was very quiet and well insulated for noise. The Luggage Room was very useful before and after our use of the room. We didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on that aspect. Staff were always helpful."
