A Perfect Getaway
Our stay at Volcano Village Estates was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff were exceptionally courteous, welcoming us with genuine warmth and making sure every detail of our stay was just right. The property itself is quiet, peaceful, and homey, surrounded by the lush beauty of the Volcano area — a true escape from the noise of everyday life.
Breakfast was a highlight in the morning — the banana pancakes were simply amazing, and the fresh local fruit made it even better. We also enjoyed a bottle of the Volcano Pinot Noir, which was spectacular and paired beautifully with the relaxing ambiance.
After a day of exploring the park, the hot tub was pure bliss — clean, private, and the perfect way to unwind under the stars. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully designed and perfectly executed.
In short: everything was perfect. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in Volcano.
Great location to stay overnight to visit volcano national Park. Love a cottage style BNB and we had delicious breakfast every morning in the fridge. Would love to visit again
Had a really great experience here. Staff were flexible and accommodating, the room itself was very nice, and the hotel location was great too. Not to mention I loved the hot tub. Would definitely come back here
Looking to explore the Big Island? Staying in Volcano is a quiet little getaway. After being on adventures all day, this place hit all the marks. We stayed in the Pineapple Cabin, perfect for a couple to unwind and relax. Carlos brought breakfast everyday and accommodated my gluten free request.
If we come back to Volcano, I would stay here again!
We were greeted warmly and with gorgeous lei’s. Very well kept and clean place. Just yards off the main road but feels like your own private hideaway in the forest. Very inviting and well designed cabins.
3 minutes to the volcano park entrance and restaurant.

Great location point blank to jungle and volcano park. Quiet and comfy across the board. Pineapple Ohana was perfect for a couple and the personal hot tub helped the pain from all our hiking. Morning breakfast was always fresh and tasted great.
Beautiful property and location. The sounds and scenery was so calming and inviting. We stayed at the garden suite. Its on the main building and not its own cottage. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The only thing i would add is a fan to get some air flowing. Would love to come back.
The staff was amazing. Within minutes of check in, we had our dining mapped out for our four-day stay. The breakfasts delivered to our cottage (discreetly) were very good! We didn’t get to take advantage of their pack lunches for hikes, but will next time. Loved it!
Perfect place to stay if you want additional time in the Volcano National Park. We stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday on our Hawaii vacation. Very clean little room with a comfortable bed. We used the hot tub and the robes provided. You should absolutely book a massage if you are staying here- Malia was amazing! Who wouldn’t want a good rub down after hiking all day?
Volcano Village Estates was an amazing experience for both myself and my wife. We totally enjoyed and were invigorated by our stay. The sounds at night were therapeutic, the breakfasts were convenient and delicious. the close proximity to the Volcano National Forrest made early morning rise easy for enjoying sunrises at the end of the Chain of Craters drive. Beautiful.
Overall, the property is wonderful. The rooms are cozy and well -decorated. We appreciated the microwave, refrigerator, coffee amenities and the hot tub. I gave a 4 for staff and service because we arrived at 3pm for check-in and no one was available to check us in or answering the phone. I communicated that we would be arriving during the check-in time slot. We planned to dash into the park to see the Kilauea eruption upon arrival. Other than that- communication was great during our stay.

Liked: Staff & service
The breakfast at this place should be improved. They put cold breakfast in the fridge in the room the night before. This can be easily improved since they do have a kitchen on site to offer fresh and warm food.
