The hotel is in a good location, walkable to Innere Stadt, transportation and many restaurants. We enjoyed the convenience. The hotel has a beautiful lobby with nice architectural features. There is also a bar which was great for a glass of wine before retiring for the night. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. However, this hotel has several downsides. The air conditioning did not work well so we had to open the window at night because it was hot and stuffy. The fresh air was helpful, but the hotel is on the corner of two busy streets, so it was noisy. Eventually, the traffic slowed down and the noise wasn't bad. Another downside is the room was so small. We could hardly get around the bed and had to literally walk sideways to get between the bed and a mirror that was attached to the wall with a rod that served as a closet. There was no place to put luggage, so we had to leave it on the floor, creating even less room to move around the bed. There was no chair to sit in. The "nice" part about the room the glass door that opened to a very small area. You couldn't really sit there because it was small but you could look out the windows that gave a slight view. The bathroom was nice, clean, and had a great shower.

I’m giving it 4 stars for the affordability. It is a basic clean room without many amenities. No coffee maker or fridge. Shampoo, body wash and lotion provided but that is all. No phone to call the front desk. Very basic but affordable.

Gebruik gemaakt van een eenpersoonskamer in het souterrain. Mooi uitzicht op de fontein. Schone, complete kamer. Net hotel met een super locatie. 3 minuten lopen van metrostation Karlplatz en naar de opera. Vanuit daar is alles ontzettend goed te doen met het OV (3 min naar Wien Hbf, 10 min naar Schönbrunn, 15 min naar Alte Donau). Genoeg supermarkten en eetgelegenheden op paar minuten lopen.

My stay here wasn’t great. I wouldn’t stay here again. I knew the room was going to be teeny tiny (which was fine), but for $200+ a night, I expected some bare minimum amenities. There were no toiletries or coffee machine/kettle. Not the end of the world but would have been nice. What really ruined my stay was I was put down in one of the “subterranean” or basement rooms. They were doing LOUD construction starting early every single day of my stay. I mean loud banging right outside my room starting first thing in the AM. I went upstairs and kindly told the front desk to see if there was maybe a quieter room anywhere I could move to, as loud drilling and hammering directly outside my door wasn’t allowing me to sleep. They said “sorry but these things have to get done.” Let me assure you, the rooms are NOT soundproof as it claims. They were painting, so I had paint fumes coming into my room. They were doing work on the elevator, so I had to lug two suitcases up and down two flights of stairs. When I asked to check my luggage because I got there early, they made me take it back to the luggage closet and then go back and find it again. The front desk guys were kind of nice, but they didn’t really offer any assistance or customer service. When I went up to get a coffee at the bar area (because there’s no coffee in the rooms) the barista acted like I completely put him out. I may have got one of their cheaper rooms, but I still don’t think that qualifies the stay I had there.

Reasonably priced but bare bones accommodations. No telephone in room to call front desk, no water bottles or coffee makers, our air conditioning didn’t work. Bring your own hair conditioner, face wash, etc.

This property is a great location to access the public transportation and walking distance from the inner city. The room has a thermostat but when we could not get the cooler to come on and we asked, we were informed that the hotel controls the temperature and there was nothing to be done. We simply opened the windows and that helped a lot. There was no phone in the room and the only way to communicate with the front desk was to go down to the desk or get online. For the price, we found it a bit high, but we had very good experiences with the restaurant and bar staff and that made up for a lot.

The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. Amenities were minimal, with only shampoo, soap, and lotion provided. The hotel is within walking distance of most major tourist attractions, and the subway is just a two-minute walk away, making it very convenient to get around. Overall, it was a good experience.

Nice view. Ideal location for public transport and walking. Historic building so very unique. Internet available. Clean rooms. Elevators. Overall very nice experience. Fair warning- we booked a nicer room and when we showed up we were put in a lower room. MotelOne said that the room matches the reservation information given to them by Expedia. The photos didn’t match the room we were in and due to the logistics of things, MotelOne couldn’t move us to the room we believe we booked because only 1 of those rooms existed, but gave us some drink vouchers and helped us get what we needed from Expedia. Expedia support wasn’t very helpful and just gave us $50 in Expedia credit after having to pull teeth for it. I believe that Expedia put the wrong photos to the wrong rooms, but it ended with MotelOne and Expedia pointing fingers at one another.
“The One” is what we ended up in, but we requested the “Special One”. Room was still nice. Private bathroom was pretty small, but manageable.

Trotz Umbau war unser Aufenthalt im MO Staatsoper perfekt. Die Arbeiter waren nur sicht- aber kaum spürbar. Vieles ist noch Provisorium, aber mit 1. April sollte alles fertig UND wunderschön werden. Der Barbetrieb war leider eingeschränkt, das wird sich aber auch in den nächsten Tagen änder. Alles in allem TOP, alleine schon die Lage ist ein Besuch im MO wert. Toll-wir kommen wieder!

staff terrible not helpful especial front desk I have to pay extra to be second floor I was not aware my first room was in the basement the second room they gave us next room to use they can easily come to our room through the balcony very tiny room no closet I won't go back nor I recommend it

The staff was not only friendly but really helpful. The room was clean though small. The lobby of the hotel is being slowly redone and promises to be lovely with a cozy place for breakfast and just time away with friends. Wish they had plastic or real glasses in the bathroom as the paper ones have a tendency to leak.
