"The accommodation was right on the picturesque harbour front and a 2 minute walk away from the port. We only stayed overnight as we were travelling on to Lefkada the following day but everything was perfect. Nice restful night's sleep after the journey from Yorkshire. "No one at front desk—a man arrived but did not speak English; we thought he was a guest but he called someone on his cell phone and handed it to me—a woman spoke with me briefly and then the man showed us to our room. Old refrigerator; door did not close, freezer was full of frost. Very few patrons; good because cheap hollow core doors shut very loudly and marble floors very noisy. "Astir was literally across the street from the ocean. I did not have a full ocean view from my room, but I could see it from my balcony on the side of the building. It was a single room, so the bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely room for the price. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a bar open in the afternoon/evening with a wonderful view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. "

"★★★★★ We had a great stay at Kefalonia Grand Hotel and would definitely come back! The location was perfect, right in the centre with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast had a great variety, with all coffees included, as well as fresh eggs and pancakes made to order from the kitchen, which was a lovely touch. The room itself was on the smaller side, but it was very clean and the daily housekeeping was excellent. Everything was kept fresh and tidy throughout our stay. There is street parking available, which we found quite easy to get during the day, although I imagine it could become more difficult later in the evening. Having a car is also useful for exploring Kefalonia, as some of the beautiful beaches do require a drive, which is pretty standard for the Greek islands. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location, friendly staff, cleanliness and breakfast made it a great experience, and we would happily stay here again. Definitely recommend!"

"We had a great stay at Perantzada Hotel. The location is perfect, with everything within easy walking distance, making it a really good base for exploring Ithaca. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Caterina (sorry if I’ve spelt your name wrong) and the rest of the team were fantastic. They were really warm and welcoming, and always happy to help without being over the top. Their local tips were brilliant, and they gave us great recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and things to do, which made the whole trip feel really easy and well looked after. The hotel itself is lovely and well kept, with a relaxed vibe that made it easy to switch off. We’d definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Ithaca."

"It was very clean and had everything you needed. The reviews had said 10 min walk to the town it is abit more than that but easy enough. Never saw anyone whilst there so can’t comment on staff, the man that met us on arrival wasn’t that friendly . But overall it is a lovely apartment but the view on ground floor isn’t great"
