onsite parking was very convenient, the staff were incredibly friendly, the property is charming and our room was immaculate. very comfortable bed, nice fireplace, and our king suite had a HUGE DECK! The location is perfect right in the village.
Front desk lady was awesome let us check in a little early my pregnant wife was able to take a nap in that time😊. Some of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on.
Staff was excellent, beautiful room, couldn't have been a better location. And it absolutely reminded me of my time in Bavaria.
The pool/jacuzzi
was closed the night I arrived- but that was because it was Oct 6th & the lodge was transitioning into the "off season." They gave me a pass to a neighboring hotel though.
Highly recommend & looking forward to returning
Room was nice, bed was comfortable. This is an older hotel that was very charming. Nice restaurants within walking distance and close to the Alpine Gardens. The staff was extra friendly and kind, and offered us an upgrade as the balcony room was available. There are nice walking and biking paths right behind the property. A parking lot is conveniently located across the street. We enjoyed our stay.
The Christiania it is always great when we stay there. Friendly staff and everything well maintained and clean. Our only point in keeping this from being a 5 star review is that the floors and walls are very thin. TV noise, floor creaking and conversations clearly heard through walls and ceilings. We travel with a white noise generator app on our phone so we were able to block most late night TV and conversations for the most part. Again, the Christiania is a great place in Vail. Near the top of Bridge St is a real plus without being right on it.
Property is like a classic European chalet or inn. Very friendly, comfortable, Swiss design but not over the top. Very unpretentious which is a relief in Vail. Rooms are very clean, large, basic but has everything you need. Glass carafes of water, actual hard keys, very charming. Breakfast room is like a tea room, very quaint. Pool is private looks up the mountain. You can’t beat the location at the top of Bridge Street. Walk out the door to the Village and gondola. Classic long time property in Vail where I would stay over and over.
The hotel is situated very close to the Vista Bhan gondola and it's the most convenient and affordable hotel offering a true ski in ski out experience. They do their best to create the truly Austrian ambiance which Vail was originally designed to replicate.
In some ways the hotel is showing it's age but they do their best to maintain the elegant nature of this cozy boutique hotel.
I stayed at a large, clean room that was very comfortable. The staff members were very friendly and helpful, and the heated outdoor pool was the perfect place to unwind after skiing!
Lovely stay here. Terrific, friendly staff. Very clean well kept property, high quality beds and bedding. The location couldn’t be better, less than a 2 minute walk to Gondola One and can walk anywhere in the Village within 10. Will stay again!
This is an older hotel but well maintained.
It may be the very best location in Vail and is THE best location near Vail Village.
There’s no A/C in the rooms but that’s really not needed in Vail. They do provide a fan for the room and that’s more than adequate.
We stayed in two different rooms over two nights and the shower in the second room was a little wonky in terms of temperature but it was functional.
The cost to value of this hotel would be hard to beat. I was truly surprised at the value for a good room in such a prime location.
