Lovely staff, great location, thoughtful touches in the hotel like cosy seating areas with blankets. My room was perfect, and looked out onto the cathedral spires. I was very happy to see plant-based milk and butter at breakfast with a few other vegan additions too. Highly recommend and I’d definitely go back.

Tiny Bathroom

Overall, our stay at Akademi Hotellet was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect, the breakfasts nice and the staff was awesome. The only downside is the tiny bathrooms. But then it is a very old building and the conversion into a hotel was what they could make of it. Overall, enjoyed our stay as it was close to many of the most interesting attractions in Uppsala.

The best location for walking every spots in Ulsara with best hospitality. The room is clean and the facilities are simple but good design. We were totally impressed the stay at Akademi Hotellet. We recommend to stay especially for morning walk lovers.

This was a wonderful and romantic stay, my husband and I had an amazing time. The view of the church from our room was stunning, and the restaurant on the corner had the most amazing fish and chips I've ever had! The hotel staff were very nice, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

What’s beautiful spot for a stay in Uppsala. This hotel is located in historic area within a few minute walk to the cathedral, botanical gardens, museum and more! Waking around is absolutely gorgeous as if you are strolling through old tiny cobble stone streets. The hotel itself has gorgeous views to the cathedral which is so beautiful lo look in the day time and at night. Every morning hotel breakfast is served tight near the reception area in their cozy cafe. All the staff was very polite and more than helpful on many occasions. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a visit to this beautiful historic town in Sweden.

Beautiful hotel

Had a great stay for a week long meeting being held at the old main academic building at the University of Uppsala. That's about a two minute walk from the hotel. My room was on the upper floor, clean and tidy, a bit small, but just slept there and not much else. Breakfast daily was excellent with fresh bread, and good coffee. Staff was super friendly.

Quaint, but still has great amenities like a delicious breakfast spread, heated bathroom floors, and soft beads. In the summer the upper floors get hot (at least I who am used to air conditioning) but the staff was so nice and brought us two fans. It’s really easy to walk to so many great places, the Castle, the library, the cathedral, the botanical gardens and more) and the staff are great at giving directions and tips. We also were lucky enough to get a room with history, so ours being Queen Kristina. Overall would stay again in a heartbeat, thanks to any staff who are reading this!
