Amazing stay at Sthala for 3 nights! Located a bit outside the noisy and busy ubud centre you get your own slice of jungle paradise in this hotel which has basically everything you could ask for - gym, spa, amazing rooftop bar and restaurant with huge breakfast buffet and beautiful views of sunset for the daily happy hour on the rooftop bar! All the staff we met went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone in ubud looking for good accomodation. There is also multiple shuttles a day for free that run between ubud centre and the hotel, approx 30-50min depending on traffic!

Beautiful resort

The resort is beautiful! Its little out of the way but perfect location. Close enough to all the touristic areas. Staff was amazing..always attentive and friendly. Breakfast had a huge variety for western options and Balinese. We booked a family room one with 3 twin beds and another with a king and twin bed. The rooms were very spacious. We were a party of 5. They have 2 separate pool areas, which was perfect. I Highly recommend this place! Beautiful resort and amazing staff with delicious food and drinks! Would definitely come back and stay here again.

There is not anything I would fault with the hotel. The staff are so attentive. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and has a really good selection of everything. The evening dining options are also good. The location and shuttle into Ubud is a great addition. Just a fantastic tranquil location and hotel

All staffs are very kind and professional. Moreover, the view and mood in the hotel are perfect and awesome. If I knew this hotel earlier than reservation, I would stay here without moving to another hotel in Bali.

My overall stay was wonderful—the room, the location, and the atmosphere were all excellent. The only issue I experienced was at the bar. When I entered, the servers offered me a seat and asked if I would like a drink. I said yes, and they told me they would bring me the menu. Unfortunately, after waiting for more than 15 minutes, no menu ever arrived. Meanwhile, other guests who came after me were served promptly. This situation made me feel a bit overlooked, so I eventually decided to return to my room. Aside from this, everything else about my stay was great, and I would still recommend this place.

Service is AMAZING. Can’t overstate how they are everywhere all the time and know what you want or need before you do. The location is nice, along the river. The upgrade to the river view wasn’t worth it for us though. From the bar, the restaurant, the pool etc. you always have a view of the river. Happy hour, BBQ night, Satay night… all amazing! Likewise with the incredible buffet breakfast every morning!

We had few issues when we checked in. But the Manager Adi made the stay comfortable for us and sorted out all the issues we had. The issue is the building works happening next door is a little downside at the moment but Hotel Management trying really hard to maintain the brand reputation.

Only higher floor rooms offer a view of outside ,otherwise lower floor rooms feels claustophobic . It is a reasonable property ,nothing special to mention about . Food / restuarant was good though . It is also not walkable to ubud market & there is very limited transportation available if one wants to visit the market

Stunning property in a lovely scenic natural setting. Pictures could not capture all. I didn’t see another hotel that seemed to rival it. Staff had an exceptional concierge mentality (I.e. this was most impressive ). They literally spoiled me. They Kept an eye out for my best interest (ie activities, time frames, best prices for me, and the way I wanted to spend my time). The staff as a whole are super friendly. I Loved the included guided nature walk, yoga class and free shuttle to center of the town. Every staff member made me feel like a priority and welcomed.

Best Decision Ever

What an incredible place. My friends & family & I are so thankful we ended up here after having to leave our previous hotel. I can’t say enough good things - the rooms are great, the pools are great, and the food is great. The breakfast buffet has thousands of options, and the dinner menu is great. The rooms aren’t anything crazy, but they are clean, spacious, and have a nice balcony. What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. Every single employee, from the check in staff to the cleaners to the cooks are so pleasant. We were a party of 6, and they knew us all by name, knew our coffee orders and knew our room numbers. They are incredibly polite and go above and beyond to help with anything. The shuttle to Ubud is a great touch, as is the complimentary water. We were due to leave this hotel to head further north, but decided to extend our stay by two nights due to the amazing experience. After hundreds of hotel stays, this is for sure a top-10 worldwide. Special thanks to Gayatri at the breakfast buffet for her kindness and attention.
