Beautiful property with excellent service. The monkeys on site were a charming and authentic touch. The views are spectacular. Rooms are Ok, but good value. The location is a little out of way from Ubud city center but worth it to be on such a nice property that reflects the jungle atmosphere of Ubud

The location is unique and easily accessible from ubud market by car. There are friendly monkeys around and the food from the restaurants are good. The property has some age to it but well maintained

Beautiful high end hotel

This is a beautiful hotel - you’re in the middle of nature and stunning views all around. The infinity pool is really relaxing - definitely take a dip. The restaurant has amazing food - I didn’t try the western cuisine but the Asian cuisine is delicious. I also appreciated that they had free shuttles into town 3 times a day.

Lovely welcoming staff. We stayed in a one bedroom terrace tree villa. Highly recommend the room. Good free daily shuttle service into Ubud centre. Monkeys are highly entertaining- just keep your distance:)

My stay at Alila was perfect, the food was incredible & staff were all so friendly and attentive. Some issues with check in as had already paid & reception staff asked for whole amount again $3k AUD. Found the reception staff quite rude and was charged 854,000 IDR for 3 beers and 8 sparking waters, whilst sitting at the lobby to go I was asked for more money, this experience was terrible considering how much money I had spent at the resort during my 4 nights (NB warning do not have mini bar drinks in your room) also found someone in my room who claimed to have restocked although only 1 tonic was restocked although not the 3 cans of beer consumed which is all I had in those 4 days

We really enjoyed our stay. They staff was super friendly and helpful. Our airline didn’t get our luggage on our last flight, so we didn’t have our checked bags. The staff at Alila worked hard to help us get updates on our luggage even though it wasn’t their fault. They offer several different activities. They have live music some nights at the resort. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay!

This property and the staff were absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't have wished for a better start to my stay in Bali. I stayed here for 3 nights and had a hill view room with lovely views, granted that I had to be ready to face monkeys as they did come and walk along it, hang off chairs etc. Be mindful to keep food out of sight. The ambience at this hotel is chilled, calm and helps you to immerse in the culture. I loved it and would stay again. The hotel sent me a tray of desserts expressing with a card wishing me well after I sustained an injury on an excursion. Such care. Also the food here was out of this world.

Nice pool but rooms are not

I have to agree with someone that wrote that this is not a 5 star hotel unfortunately. Pool area and both restaurants are great. Staff is incredible friendly and helpful and that is what improves the review but the rooms are not up to the standard. Our bathroom roof was leaking after every rain, and the rooms are really small with not even a space to open your suitcase, almost no closet space either.

We had a fabulous time in Alila! Our villa on the Ashe of the valley was super. The food was super and the service too. We enjoined the movie by the pool and the afternoon service making our room ready for the night was really great. You do know you are in the jungle as we had a gekko as a house huist. We only saw him once but every night we could hear him. The WiFi and airconditioning was good. The only thing would be that there was only one free outlet to charge our devices in the main cabin.

beautiful property. People are friendly. lovely pool. our 303 villa is gorgeous. the recommendation from a lady manager? to restaurant Begawan Biji was unexpectedly enjoyable. We didn't get to see UNESCO rice terrace due to big crowd, so the visit to this restaurant made us feel better..really enjoy our massage experience (love the flower bowl underneath head pc, so can stare at flower, instead of ground). The cocktail is weak (maybe is all southeast asian thing?) & taste ok? food option is limited and service is kinda slow. in all, very good and happy. will recommend to friends

Located on the steep hills on the outskirts of Ubud, we chose this hotel based solely on its location and the photos we found online. As with any booking made from pictures alone, your imagination inevitably starts to paint a picture of what the hotel and its surroundings might actually be like. The road leading to the hotel is narrow—at times it feels as though there's barely enough room for the taxi to pass. Winding through rice fields and dense jungle, the journey itself builds a sense of anticipation. Eventually, you arrive at the hotel entrance, where a gently sloping driveway leads down to the reception area, offering your first glimpse of what awaits. We arrived late in the evening, making it difficult to fully appreciate the setting at first. Even so, it immediately felt like a hidden jungle retreat, and the atmosphere was simply breathtaking. The pool area, located a short walk down from the reception, is undoubtedly the jewel in the hotel's crown. Perched above a deep ravine and surrounded by lush tropical jungle, it offers spectacular views and an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquillity. The rooms are spread throughout the property, connected by pathways that wind through the lush gardens. Although the resort has more than 70 rooms and villas, it never feels crowded.
