"I wanted proximity to the university and the hotel is just a few blocks walking distance from the university, as well as right across the street from a metro station that will also take you to the university. clean room, good staff, no issues. great Taiwanese/Chinese restaurant down the street toward the University and a great Irish pub with live music in the opposite direction. Pharmacy and grocery store across the street near the metro. What more could you ask for."

"The property was very clean. We loved the outdoor seating area. There's a great gastropub directly next door & a CVS in the adjacent parking lot so there is no need to drive if you don't want to. There is also access to a walking path right on site that leads to beautiful trails. Our son lives in Medford so we will definitely be back!"

"I was very disappointed with my stay at this Hyatt Place. I booked a room four months in advance for four adults, specifically reserving a room with two double beds and a pull-out sofa. When we arrived, we were given a room with one king bed and a pull-out sofa, which was not what we reserved. The front desk staff showed little concern and didn’t apologize for the mistake. A supervisor eventually came over and simply said they were sold out of double rooms, so there was nothing they could do....

"Honestly, we have stayed at the Eliot Hotel many times and love the staff there and the proximity to places we need to go. Overall, the air-conditioning unit didn’t seem to work well and the room was very damp. I did let staff know about this as we were leaving and they said they would have maintenance fix it. We also had four people in a room with a pullout couch and one bed and when we got there, the pullout couch did not have sheets or blankets on it. Staff was friendly and immediately...

"Room was incredibly dated, especially the bathroom. Rug was frayed and there was an old school corded phone next to the toilet. Not what I expected from a “luxury” hotel. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were in tacky plastic white containers that had visible residue where they get filled. Bed was really comfy and staff was helpful, but the room needs some refreshing."
