My recent stay at the Best Western Plus in Truckee was incredibly disappointing and fell far short of the service I've come to expect from the Best Western brand.
From the outset, the experience lacked the anticipated level of customer care. We were not offered any assistance with our luggage upon arrival, setting a rather cold tone for our stay. A key amenity, the hot tub, was frequently out of service, with no proactive communication to guests about its status. However, the most significant issue was the consistent failure to provide room cleaning. Despite my repeated attempts to request service by displaying the door card – and even noticing the card had been acknowledged by being flipped over – our room remained untouched. This left me in the position of having to manage my own waste disposal and personally collect fresh towels and toiletries from the front desk. To compound the frustration, when I addressed these ongoing problems with the front desk staff, I was given assurances that the issues would be rectified, but regrettably, no action was taken. This entire experience was well below standard and deeply frustrating.
