Charming hotel with a microbrewery and beergarden. Some aspects are a little dated, but everything is spotless and well maintained. Rooms have a pleasant country house feel. Situated a few km out of Trier, it's walkable to town (around 40 mins). Surrounded by steep green slopes of riesling vineyards it's a peaceful place to stay. We ate at the restaurant, where there was a nice buzz on a Friday evening. Vegetarian/vegan meals are available alongside hearty biergarten dishes as well as craft beer and wine from local producers. The hotel has a small indoor pool and a sauna, free to use for guests. We didn't this time round, but it looked good. Buffet breakfast was good as well. Staff are pleasant and spoke some English to make up for our limited German.

Pleasant and peaceful hotel within walking distance of the amphitheater and the other attractions. They were very kind to give us a small gift because we were celebrating our anniversary. There was also a complimentary bottle of water. The room was comfortable, and there was a tower fan that was nice as I stayed in the summer. The breakfast seemed to be designed with health consciousness in mind. In particular, there was a good selection of cold cuts and cheese.

Das Team vor Ort ist ausgesprochen freundlich, das Frühstück ist lecker und die Fahrradgarage verdient ein riesiges Lob: sicher - auch mit zahlreichen E-Bike-Steckdosen ist sie perfekt ausgestattet! Umso schade war es, dass das Zimmer da nicht mithalten konnte. Es wirkte recht in die Jahre gekommen, war sehr hellhörig und der Raumgeruch sowie die sehr weichen Betten haben den Schlafkomfort leider stark beeinträchtigt. Auch ein kleiner Kühlschrank hat gefehlt. Für den aufgerufenen Preis hatten wir uns insgesamt etwas mehr Frische und Komfort erhofft.

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer gebucht, wir wussten auch, dass das Gebäude und die Zimmer schon etwas älter sind. In diesem Punkt gab es keine Überraschung, das Zimmer ist eben einfach in die Jahre gekommen. Das Zimmer selbst lag dann leider sehr ungünstig zum Parkplatz hin und direkt über der Küche. Von dort wurden wir mit Lärm und Geschepper bis weit nach 22 Uhr „ verwöhnt“ - nutzte das Küchenpersonal den Ausgang zum Parkplatz, um dort Zigaretten zu rauchen – direkt unter den Gästezimmer. Das fände ich schon äußerst rücksichtslos und unangenehm. Schon beim Checkin wollten wir einen Platz im Biergarten, der zu dem Objekt gehört reservieren. Man teilte uns kalt mit, dass das wohl jetzt zu spät sei. Wir könnten es ja noch mal beim Servicepersonal versuchen, was wir auch getan haben und obwohl der Biergarten riesig ist und aus unserer Sicht auch noch Platz gewesen wäre, ein Tisch für zwei Personen dazu zu stellen, hatten sich vollkommen unbeweglich gestellt und uns abblitzen lassen. Da hätte ich mir ein bisschen mehr Kreativität bei Gästen gewünscht und auch erwartet. Frühstück war okay, aber nichts besonderes. Beim Checkout hat man sich noch nicht mal dafür interessiert, wie der Aufenthalt war – vermutlich, weil man es sowieso schon wusste.

Wij komen hier al jaren en zijn nog steeds tevreden . Je kan gewoon terplekke parkeren en gemakkelijk tevoet tot in't stadje Trier . Ontbijt is heel goed , veel keuze . Personeel is heel vriendelijk. Restaurant ... een aanrader.

Leider hat das Zimmer keine Klimaanlage und auch keine Fliegengitter vor dem Fenster. Es war sehr warm im Zimmer. Leider gab es auch nicht die Möglichkeit abends noch zu Essen. Alles ausgebucht und nur mit vorheriger Reservierung möglich. Dies ist am Anreisetag nicht so einfach möglich
